Community Day Events
The dates for next Season’s Community Days are as follows:
- Saturday, June 21, 2025
- Saturday and Sunday, July 5–6, 2025 (Community Day Classic two-day event)
- Sunday, July 20, 2025
- Saturday, August 30, 2025
Our thoughts
Intriguingly the Community Day Classic is a two day event… the only time we’ve had a Community Day as a two day event was with Eevee. Is Eevee about to make a comeback?
In terms of the new Community Days, we would expect one of these to be Jangmo-o. This would follow the pattern of a rare Dragon type having their shiny released during Pokémon GO Fest, then seeing it featured for Community Day a year later. The Jangmo-o family have amazing shiny versions, with a bright lime yellow and pink colour that will be a great chase.
Quaxly is the final Paldean First Partner (starter) Pokémon to not yet be released shiny, so it seems a good candidate for the other day, but we may get a surprise curveball!

Community Days aren’t the only events on the horizon for the coming Season—there are other fun in-game events on the way, and their dates are as follows:

- Saturday and Sunday, August 16–17, 2025 (Shadow Raid Weekend)

Our thoughts
It looks like the next season is going to be quite Raid and Max Battle heavy, with only two of the dates given being non-Raid/ Max Battle events! A dedicated Max Battle Day may see the release of another Gigantamax Pokémon, potentially Orbeetle! Orbeetle was teased during the initial Dynamax debut, but has so far not made their debut in Pokémon GO. They have a really cool UFO inspired design!
The Max Battle Weekends could see the start of another set of Legendary Pokémon featured in Max Battles. We’ve had the Kanto birds, and the Johto doggos, with two other Max Battle events, could Lugia and Ho-Oh be next?
Whatever is featured, with remote Shadow Raids and Max Battles being announced, it is set to be an exciting, and different season!
