Trainers! We are excited to share with you the next Season’s Community Day dates, along with dates for other special events occurring during September and October. Get the dates in your diary and get hyped!
Community Day Events
The dates for next Season’s Community Days are as follows:
- Saturday, September 14, 2024
- Saturday, October 5, 2024
- Sunday, November 10, 2024
It looks like the next season won’t include any Classic Community Days, or at least none are announced for the moment.
With Popplio being the August Community Day, it seems unlikely we will see any other First Parter (starter) Pokémon featured in 2024. This is simply due to the fact that the next trio of starters are the Galar starters Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble, and they are not yet released in Pokémon GO! It would be highly unusual to see starters debut for a Community Day with their shiny released immediately, but maybe Niantic will mix it up and it could happen. Teasers for the next season do seem to imply a focus on Galar, so you never know!
For other guesses, we all love a spooky season themed Community Day, with Ghost type pickings are a little slim on the ground. Could we perhaps see Mankey for October as it now evolves to GhostFighting type Annihilape? Some other popular guesses for 2024 Community Days have been Pikipek, Klink, Vanillite, Venipede, Sewaddle and Tympole. What do you think it could be?
Other Event Dates
Community Days aren’t the only events on the horizon for the coming Season—there are other fun in-game events on the way, and their dates are as follows:
- Sunday, September 8, 2024 (Raid Day)
- Sunday, September 22, 2024 (Research Day)
- Saturday, October 12, 2024 (Raid Day)
- Saturday, October 19, 2024 (Research Day)

Interestingly we will get a Raid Day and a Research Day in both September and October, with no dates mentioned for November. Could these Raid Days be tied in with the recent exciting new feature we’ve seen in datamines? The October Research Day is also another opportunity for a themed Halloween event, with something Dark or Ghost type featured, perhaps we’ll finally see Mimikyu debut this year? Or maybe it will be something more Galar themed, as Galar has some fantastic Ghost and Dark types including Sinistea, Nickit, Impidimp, Morpeko and Dreepy. What Pokémon do you hope to see features in these raid and research days?
