Team GO Rocket is officially back! Arlo, Sierra, Cliff and Giovanni are available to encounter once again, and Niantic has sprinkled additional bonuses to make up for the issue that caused TGR encounters to be disabled in the past weeks.
Niantic has announced two make up bonuses:
- To make up for the time that Team GO Rocket was away, Shadow Zapdos will be returning as an encounter when you defeat Giovanni from Tuesday, June 1, at 12 a.m. until Thursday, June 17, at 12 a.m. local time.
- Trainers, as an additional make up, we’ve added a free box to the Shop in-app, containing 30 Poké Balls and 1 Rocket Radar. This box will be available until April 29th, 7 p.m. PT.
The GO Rocket Box is now available in the in-game shop and players have confirmed that Team GO Rocket Balloons are also active again. We’re happy to see our favourite villains make a return to the game, especially in a time when some of us are stuck indoors, and some are able to play normally.
