Trainers can now purchase tickets for the Regigigas Special Research Event, which takes place on Saturday, November 2, 2019. Tickets can be purchased from the Pokemon GO in-game store for USD $7.99 (or the equivalent in your local currency).
Tickets are not refundable, so make sure you have a group to raid on Saturday before buying one. We are not sure if the free raid passes will be usable outside of the event period, but since you’ve paid for them we would expect them to stay until used.
If you’re still on the fence about buying the ticket, consider this:
- You get 10 Raid Passes for the price. Regardless of what your thoughts and beliefs are about in-game paywalls, this is a good deal.
- It’s a one time chance to get an exclusive Avatar Pose, A Colossal Discovery medal and to enjoy a well crafted story arc.
- If you were planning to shiny hunt Regis during that weekend, then you should definitely buy the ticket, as you will be raiding them anyway
- In our recent Twitter poll, most voters compare the event with a GO Fest experience, but playable anywhere. Unlike GO Fest, you don’t need to travel to have a special experience.
