Pokémon Sleep researchers, get excited, a new Legendary Pokémon is set to debut in game, Latias!

Beginning April 2026, there will be a Latias Research event. During this event you will be able to exchange samples of Latias Down that you collect for Latias Incense. You will be able to use Latias Incense to research Latias’s various sleep styles.
Pokémon with the Skills specialty will be particularly effective during this event, so get ready in advance by working on your helper Pokémon with the Skills specialty to make the most of this event.
More details about the Legendary Pokémon Latias and the event will be coming soon, and we’ll update you as soon as we have more information. We don’t yet know if Latias will be a Dragon or Psychic type, as in Pokémon Sleep Pokémon can only have a single typing. We suspect they may either be a Skill based Pokémon so tie in with the event boost, or that their Main Skill may have something to do with other Pokémon’s Main Skills.
Event Tips and Tricks
- We recommend hoarding your Biscuits ahead of this event, as Latias will likely have 30 hunger points to fill before you can recruit them to your team, making them quite costly!
- Your first Latias will have a set Nature and Sub Skills that means all Researchers first Latias is the same. After that, it is random.
- Your will likely to be able to purchase Latias Biscuits using Latias Down from the shop during the event, which will fill Latias up more quickly than the average biscuit.
- Travel to a Research Area you can do well in. The more Pokémon you see, the more Latias Down you can earn. Rarer Pokémon styles give more Latias Down.
- Utilise a Good Camp Ticket if possible to get an extra Pokémon to research each day for the chance to obtain even more Latias Down.
- You will only be able to have one Latias Incense in your bag at a time, so be sure to use it as soon as you can so that you can buy another.
