Mewtwo is Coming to Pokémon Sleep!

Pokémon Sleep researchers, get hyped, Mewtwo is coming! Starting September 2026, there will be an event for you to encounter the Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo at Greengrass Isle and Greengrass Isle (Expert)!

Mewtwo Event Teaser

During this event, Psychic-type helper Pokémon will be particularly effective, and it seems the Mythical Pokémon Mew has also taken an interest in Mewtwo. Make sure you are working on your Mew as it appears it will assist in researching Mewtwo’s sleep style.

Researchers new to Pokémon Sleep who have not yet befriended Mew can also enjoy this event, as there will be a separate event to New Moon Day in which it will be possible to encounter Mew. New Moon Day will continue to be held each month in the period before the event to encounter Mew. Pokémon Sleep are considering a feature to prevent friendship points for Mew accumulated during New Moon Day from being wasted upon befriending Mew.

Mewtwo is a Special Pokémon. You can have only one Special Pokémon on your team. As an exception, Latias and Latios can be on the same team. It’s possible to befriend more than one Special Pokémon.

Mewtwo’s Main Skill

Mewtwo’s Main Skill will be the brand new move Psystrike (Berry Zone).

Snorlax gains strength, and a Berry Zone is created at that site. While a Berry Zone from Psystrike (Berry Zone) is active, the energy gained from Mago Berries is increased.

Once a Berry Zone has been created, its effects will last until you move to another site. Even if you remove Mewtwo from your helper team, the effects of the Berry Zone will not disappear.

Every time the main skill is activated, the effects of the Berry Zone will continue to stack until it reaches its maximum effectiveness.

After using Psystrike (Berry Zone) to create a Berry Zone, you can find ways to give Psychic-type Pokémon more opportunities to shine, such as switching to another Psychic-type special Pokémon.
