The darkness of a new moon lets new encounters shine.
Beginning around the end of May 2025, Pokémon Sleep are teasing an event themed around the new moon—New Moon Day!
During this event, Pokémon won’t get full easily during snack time, and you may even meet the Mythical Pokémon Darkrai!
The artwork released to promote the event also features both Murkrow and Honchkrow so we suspect they may be released in Pokémon Sleep as part of the event. Hopefully they will be Dark type Pokémon, something that is currently quite lacking in Pokémon Sleep.
Darkrai has the skill Bad Dreams (Charge Strength M) which increases Snorlax’s Strength by a certain amount, but at the same time, reduces the Energy of helper Pokémon on your team that aren’t Dark type by 12. With so few Dark types available, the addition of Murkrow and Honchkrow could make Darkrai much more usable!
