A recent datamine of Pokémon GO has shown something incredibly interesting, that potentially means we could see Ultra Necrozma, and Type: Null, coming to the game! This information was shared publicly by a group of dataminers on twitter/X.

Ultra Necrozma?
Ultra Necrozma
Ultra Necrozma is a Psychic and Dragon type Pokémon, and in the main series it is created when either of Necrozma’s other forms (Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings) holds the Ultranecrozium Z and uses the move Ultra Burst.
A new attack has been added to the game code for Ultra Necrozma:
- Move+
As well as this, a previous version of the game code was also found to have the form category ‘Ultra’ added to it, alongside Mega and Primal, which implies it will be a form change mechanic rather than a new Pokémon. It looks like Ultra Necrozma will work more like a Mega Pokémon! The Move+ will be their Max Mega Level Move, so be ready to grind those Ultra Necrozma raids to max them out. We don’t have any information on what this Move+ could be yet, as it may vary depending on which form of Necrozma you change into Ultra Necrozma.
With Alola Tour just around the corner in 2027, it looks like Ultra Necrozma is set to be the star of the event!

Type: Null and Silvally?
Type: Null
Silvally
Type: Null is a Normal type Legendary from the Alola region, that evolves into Silvally. Silvally is where it gets tricky in Pokémon GO, as it has a form for each of the eighteen different Pokémon types, which it can change into while holding a memory disc/drive in the main series games.
17 new items have been added to the game coding, one for each typing of Silvally. It appears in Pokémon GO the item will be referred to as a Memory Shard:
- MemoryShardBug
- MemoryShardDark
- MemoryShardDragon
- MemoryShardElectric
- MemoryShardFairy
- MemoryShardFighting
- MemoryShardFire
- MemoryShardFlying
- MemoryShardGhost
- MemoryShardGrass
- MemoryShardGround
- MemoryShardIce
- MemoryShardPoison
- MemoryShardPsychic
- MemoryShardRock
- MemoryShardSteel
- MemoryShardWater
When Silvally changes form, the colour of its eyes, head spikes, drives, and tail fin membrane all change to match its current type. It is a temporary form change, so it will be interesting to see how this is handled in Pokémon GO. Will it change form like a Mega evolution, with an eight hour time period and a cool down? Or will we have to work to collect each Memory Shared, and then be able to equip and unequip them at will?
