Report Highlights

  • Pokémon Fusing: Several more text entries for fusing Pokémon, including more details on how the mechanic is potentially going to work.
  • Initial Moveset for Necrozma: The initial moveset has been pushed, and it’s something.
  • New Adventure Effect Moves: 2 new adventure effect moves were added.
  • New Location Cards: Location Cards for GO Fest, Surabaya Air Adventures have been added, as well as some team location cards?

Necrozma

Necrozma just got teased for Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Everything you need to know

V0800_POKEMON_NECROZMA

+ quick_moves: PSYCHO_CUT_FAST
+ cinematic_moves: ROCK_BLAST
+ cinematic_moves: POWER_GEM
+ cinematic_moves: NIGHT_SLASH
+ disable_transfer_to_pokemon_home: true
+ raid_boss_distance_offset: 3.0

Looks like the initial moveset for Necrozma will be… something.  Fast move wise that’s about as good as you can get, but those charge moves are not. Necrozma has access to Psychic moves like Psychic, Psyshock, and Future Sight in the Main Series games, so fingers crossed it gets access to those at some point.

Pokémon Fusing

Fusion Cost

form_change
available_form: NECROZMA_DUSK_MANE
candy_cost: 50
item: 1351
item_cost_count: 1000
component_pokemon_settings
pokedex_id: SOLGALEO
component_candy_cost: 50
form_change_type: FUSE

available_form: NECROZMA_DAWN_WINGS
candy_cost: 50
item: 1350
item_cost_count: 1000
component_pokemon_settings
pokedex_id: LUNALA
component_candy_cost: 50
form_change_type: FUSE

From what I’m seeing here it looks like fusing Necrozma with Solgaleo or Lunala will cost 50 candies and 1000 of something they’re calling “Item 1350” or “Item 1351”

Fusion Preview

Looks like you’ll get a fusion preview screen when you go to fuse or un fuse your Pokémon.

FUSION_RESOURCE_BLACK_KYUREM
FUSION_RESOURCE_WHITE_KYUREM
FUSION_RESOURCE_ICERIDER_CALYREX
FUSION_RESOURCE_SPECTRALRIDER_CALYREX

It’s called “FUSION_RESOURCE” in the code, but I imagine they’ll come up with a better name for it before it’s released. Or they won’t, I’m not a mind reader. They’ve also set the cap at 9999 for now and set it to drop at trainer level 1 so everyone can get it. It’s also been added for the other fusions as well.

New Adventure Effect Moves

NONCOMBAT_SUNSTEEL_STRIKE_PROMPT_SHOWN
NONCOMBAT_MOONGEIST_BEAM_PROMPT_SHOWN

ITEM_INCENSE_DAY_BONUS
ITEM_INCENSE_NIGHT_BONUS

These are both very interesting, these look like Adventure effect moves like the ones that Diaga and Palkia got. Speculation is that these will affect incense spawns with Sunsteel Strike working during the day and Moongeist Beam working at night.

Sunsteel Strike is the signature move for Solgaleo and Dusk Mane Necrozma
Moongeist Beam is the signature move for Lunala and Dawn Wings Necrozma

Both are damage-dealing moves that ignore all ignorable Abilities.

Fusion Cutscene

FusionCutsceneGuiController
UnfusionCutsceneGuiController

Looks like we’ll get a new cut scene for Pokémon Fusion

New POI Entries

ExploreStation
EnterLobby
OpenItemBag
ShowHelp
ShowInteractionRewards
SaveForLater
ViewStationedPokemon
StationPokemonPressed
ScanLobbyCode
ReturnToMap

These have all been added to a new type of POI that can appear on the map. We don’t have any context on what it could be. This could be a new way to create AR picture lobbies where your Pokémon can interact with the Point of Interest. OpenItemBag is interesting, perhaps giving it berries will make it happy and cause it to do different actions? We’ll have to wait for more context on this, but it’s interesting that’s for sure.

LC_SPECIALBACKGROUND_TEAM_RED

LC_SPECIALBACKGROUND_TEAM_YELLOW
LC_2024_SURABAYA_AIRADVENTURES_001

A bunch of new location cards were added as well. GO Fest backgrounds for Sendai, Madrid, and NYC. A location card for GO Fest Global were added to for “Radiance”, “Umbra”, and “Combination”.  Are we getting Solgaleo and Lunala raids for GO Fest Global? There were also some team-based Location cards added as well.
