Massive Trading Revamp Coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket!

Pokémon TCG Pocket fans have finally had their patience rewarded! Players hadn’t warmed up to the trading feature in the game on its release, particularly bashing the need to exchange rare cards to obtain Trade Tokens.

Now, on the brink of the major A4 set release, trading is all set to have a huge update, bringing some welcome changes to the highly debated feature.

Date and Time 📅

  • Event icon Tuesday, July 29, at 06:30 am local time

New Wish List Feature

To kick off, you’ll be able to indicate to other players which card you’d like to trade for. This is a great means to get the cards you want (that are eligible for trading) and complete the card dex.

Changes to Trade Feature

  • Trade Tokens will be discontinued in TCG Pocket, and you will no longer need to consume cards to trade. Instead, Shinedust is all you need to trade ♦♦♦, ♦♦♦♦, and ★ rarity cards.
  • When you get a card that you already have in your card dex, the amount of Shinedust that you usually get will now be doubled.
  • You will be able to exchange your Trade Tokens for Pack Hourglasses and Shinedust.

Here are the exchange details:

  • Pack Hourglass x1
    Required amount: Trade Token x1
Number of possible exchanges: 60 times
  • Shinedust x10
    Required amount: Trade Token x1
    Number of possible exchanges: Unlimited
  • Shinedust x100
    Required amount: Trade Token x10
    Number of possible exchanges: Unlimited
  • Shinedust x1,000
    Required amount: Trade Token x100
    Number of possible exchanges: Unlimited

To accommodate the update, the trading feature will be unavailable from Friday, July 25, at 11:30 am to Wednesday, July 30, at 11:29 am local time.
