The following Pokémon will grant you extra bonuses when catching Teddiursa if they are Mega/Primal evolved:
A Note on Mega Catch Bonus
While a Pokémon is Mega-Evolved, additional XP and Candy is granted when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it, or for any raid boss caught. These do not stack with each other. Additionally, High and Max Level Mega-Evolved Pokémon grant an increased chance to obtain Candy XL when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it.
PVE
Ursaluna is a rather unique Pokémon in how you obtain it. To evolve an Ursaring into Ursaluna, you must do this on the night of a full moon with 100 candies, meaning you have just one night a month to get this powerful bear.
⚔️ Raids
Ursaluna, while decent one time in the past, has been outclassed by A LOT of other Pokémon. Its biggest problem is it doesn’t have a Ground-type fast attack, so it can only rely on Tackle, along with the legacy move High Horsepower. As such, it just can’t do enough damage consistently as a Ground-type raid attacker and falls behind. There isn’t any reason to use it as a Normal-type raid attacker either, as no Pokémon are weak to Normal-types.
🛡️ Gyms
This bear is just right to sit on gyms and earn you some Pokécoins. Due to its impressive bulk and high CP, it can be a formidable wall for trainers to beat, especially if paired with some diverse type matchups.
PVP
🔵 Great League
Ursaluna isn’t a good enough Pokémon to be under your radar for your primary meta-dominant team. This mostly comes down to the fact it doesn’t reach its best stat potential under 1500 CP. However, it does have a rather diverse movepool, and a decent fast attack in Scratch. As such, you could consider using it if you want to use it as a spice/limited meta pick.
🟡 Ultra League
The exact same applies to Ursaluna in the Ultra League.
🟣 Master League
Here’s where Ursaluna can shine bright as the moon that helped it evolve. As it already has high Attack and a lower Defense stat, it outperforms its Shadow counterpart. Heck, its low defense stat doesn’t even matter here, as Ursaluna’s sheer HP in the league makes it extremely bulky. Its diverse movepool means you can give it charged attacks you need to deal with the limitations of your team. All of this is to say, Ursaluna is one of the rare non-legendaries that dominate the Master League and you should definitely consider building one for it.
