Celebrate 10 years of Pokémon GO and 30 years of Pokémon by showing off your favorite Pokémon with What’s Your Favorite?, a new AR feature in Pokémon GO.
What’s Your Favorite? is a new camera feature in Pokémon GO that lets you create shared moments with your favorite Pokémon, even if you haven’t caught them yet. Almost all Pokémon in Pokémon GO are available to take photos using this feature.
The Pokémon Company International have launched ‘What’s Your Favorite?’ as part of a year-long campaign to celebrate 30 years of Pokémon! It aims to encourage fans to share their favorite Pokémon. The campaign kicked off during Super Bowl LX, where a new commercial introducing ‘What’s Your Favorite?’ aired.
The advert includes several celebrities including Lady Gaga, Trevor Noah, Charles Leclerc, Jisoo, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Lamine Yamal and Young Miko, each sharing their favorite Pokémon.

To access the new feature first open your main menu, and you will see a new sticker over the camera function in the bottom left corner.
Click onto that and it will open up the AR menu, as show below. Click on the ‘What’s Your Favorite?’ feature.

From here you have new AR options!
- Pick your favorite Pokémon to take a picture with. Haven’t caught the Pokémon yet? No problem! You can take a photo with almost all Pokémon in Pokémon GO.
- Pokémon outside of their original forms (including, but not limited to, costumed Pokémon, Mega-Evolved Pokémon, Max Pokémon, etc.) are not available to take a picture with using What’s Your Favorite?.

- Take a photo with your friends, family, or by yourself. ‘What’s Your Favorite?’ even includes a handy timer to make it easier for Trainers to take photos. Just tap on the timer icon in the bottom left of the page to kick off a five-second countdown.
- And finally, you can customize your photo with all kinds of stickers and frames.
