Niantic Support have posted a series of tweets aimed to clear up confusion as to how you are expected to complete the Misunderstood Mischief Special Research in time to be rewarded with the exclusive end of season Special Research story for free. With Dark and Ghost types not spawning as frequently due to events, many trainers had been panicking as to how they will potentially complete Misunderstood Mischief in time, and Niantic have posted to help!
‘Trainers, we want to clarify that to receive the exclusive end-of-Season Special Research story for free, you must complete the Misunderstood Mischief Special Research by the end of the Season of Mischief on Dec 1 at 9:59AM local time.’
- If you are working on the “Catch 30 Dark-Type Pokémon” Special Research Task: Dark type Pokémon will appear more frequently from Nov 16 10AM – Nov 21 8PM local time.
- If you are working on the “Catch 30 Ghost-Type Pokémon” Special Research Task: Ghost type Pokémon Misdreavus will appear as part of the Pokémon Shining Pearl Event, from Nov 18 10AM – Nov 21 8PM local time.
If for some reason you still are unable to finish this research with the additional helps, you will be able to purchase a ticket to the Mischief Unbound Special Research in the Shop for USD $4.99 from Nov 26 until the end of the Season of Mischief on Dec 1. Niantic have teased that Hoopa Unbound may have something to do with this new Special Research, so make sure you take advantage and get it for free!
