Pokémon World Championships 2025: GO Day 2 Highlights

Good day, Pokémon Trainers! The Pokémon GO World Championships are in full swing. This means trainers around the world are bringing their A-game in order to secure the title of “World Champion”. Though trainers will have to go through a gauntlet of other trainers for three whole days for this prestigious title. What this means is 3 days of intense competition, 3 days of hype matches, and 3 days of trainers putting everything on the line making every prediction and every catch to get an inch closer to victory!

And that’s where I come in. Whether you’ve missed some of the key matches or want to relive some of the best moments, I’ll be bringing you some of the highlights of each day and providing a brief description and analysis for each. With that explanation out of the way, let’s begin with the highlights of Day 2!

Rarjef Pops Off

There could have been multiple clips from this 3 match series. But I had to have the final battle where LNDsRarjef pops off after a storied victory against MagicMayson, who defeated him in a previous tournament.

Energy Management is Key

One constant at this year’s world championship is that proper energy management is absolutely necessary for victory, with trainers overfarming and timing perfectly. Here, Mihir shows a masterclass of that.

To The Absolute Limit

At such a high level, battles can come down to the absolute wire. No better example of that than this battle right here.

High Level Players

As another example of just that, here’s LylesjeffIII and LndsKoulash reaching the absolute limits. Koulash ultimately took the victory, but these are both very accomplished trainers who brought their all here for the tournament.

Tensions High

I’ve been talking about the Lnds a lot, so let’s end with that. Here, LndsRarjef defeats his friend and teammate LndsKoulash to secure a third-place victory. While Rarjef will ultimately be taken out by Beelzeboy later in the tournament, a big congratulations on making it this far. And congratulations to Beelzeboy as well.

Closing Remarks

The World Championship is here, it is happening! And it has brought some amazing battles on day 2. What I’ve covered here is merely a snippet of all the amazing trainers pouring their all both on and off stream. If I were to put my personal remark for day 2, I would say the keyword is Pressure.

Fast attack pressure brings battles to the absolute wire, the pressure the trainers feel reaching this far, and the pressure they give themselves to continue moving forward. Only two trainers remain, and it will be exciting to see who wins tomorrow.

But the excitement doesn’t just end there, as we have a huge move shakeup coming to GO as well along with a faster switch timer.

Goodbye for now, Pokémon trainers. Priom-out!
