We bid welcome to the Pokemon Trainer community in Africa. You have waited far too long friends! We’re still making sense of the entire scope of this roll out, but according to this map, a lot of African countries can now enjoy Pokemon GO:

Ditto – Africa Region Exclusive Pokemon?

Rumors are already spreading that Ditto, one of the most elusive Pokemon in the game, could be the regional exclusive Pokemon for Africa.

We already know about previous region exclusives:

  • Farfetch’d – Asia
  • Kanghaskan – Australia
  • Mr. Mime – Europe
  • Tauros – Northern America

The rumor has it that Ditto can be only found in Africa, but there is no indication yet if this is true. Ditto has been rumored and theorised about for months in the Pokemon GO community, and the “Ditto is region exclusive to Africa” is one of the oldest and hottest theories behind it.

We’re hoping that it’s true, as flight prices to Africa are plummeting in pre and post season. Ditto, show your face already! 🙂

UPDATE: A Player from SA sent us screenshots that he caught Ditto in Edenvale, South Africa! Still working on confirming it!

These screenshots were confirmed as fake on 8th of October.
