Pokémon 30th Anniversary: All Out

The Pokémon 30th Anniversary: All Out event takes place from Saturday, March 7, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, March 9, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time, with an incredible mix of wild spawns, raids and more!

Appraisal Star icon Event Bonuses

The following bonuses are active during the Pokémon GO 30th Anniversary: All Out event:

  • Incense icon Incense activated during the event may lead to encounters with Legendary Pokémon–if you’re very lucky!
  • Pokemon Encounter icon Wild Pokémon will appear more frequently.

Wild Encounters

You may encounter almost all Pokémon, including Legendary Pokémon, in their natural habitat that have made their Pokémon GO debuts! Most Pokémon that have ever appeared in Pokémon GO will return, but there are some Pokémon that will not spawn.

  • Pokémon will appear in specific biomes based on their natural habitat and PokéDex entry, so explore different biomes and see what discoveries await you.
  • Certain Pokémon will continue to be found only in certain regions, or hatch from Eggs.
  • Costumed Pokémon will not appear in the wild. For Pokémon with multiple forms, not all forms will appear in the wild.

Incense icon Legendary Pokémon from Incense and Wild Encounters

Legendary Pokémon will spawn in the wild, but also in increased numbers from Incense!

  • On average, you will encounter 6 – 12 Legendary Pokémon per hour while using Incense (by walking in a straight line to optimize for spawn frequency)
  • Temper your expectations, as it seems that Wild Legendary spawns during this event have the same catch/flee rate as Galarian Birds.
  • Wild and Incense Legendary Pokémon can be Shiny, as expected!
  • Wild Rayquaza spawn has been confirmed.

Trainers are suggesting to use a Golden Razzberry, White/Black Kyurem Adventure effect, and Excellent throws to increase catch rate.

Comment from a New Zealand Trainer

A Trainer from New Zealand, the earliest time zone where Pokémon GO events begin, shared their experience with the event:

Just played for a few hours today with normal incense and I’ve probably encountered like 30-40 legendaries (50-60 if you include my son’s phone). Almost all of them on incense but we did see a Heatran in the wild! Anyway, none were shiny and he caught none and I caught 4 😅 they were high CP but absolutely terrible stats all of them. One was a Galarian bird (off a normal incense).

Not a paid event at all, totally free apart from the cost of the incense. Quite fun but also stressful! Obviously don’t have your Go++ on. I’d say their catch rate is the same as the G-birds.

🚫Pokémon that will not appear in the wild

Although most Pokémon will be available in wild encounters, this does not include Mythical Pokémon, Ultra Beasts, or certain species of Pokémon that are not normally found in the wild, including the following:

Raids

Raid Egg (1-Star) icon 1-Star Raids

Raid Egg (5-Star) icon 5-Star Raids

Eggs

The following Pokémon will hatch from 2 km Eggs:

Mime Jr. will continue to only hatch in certain parts of the world.
