Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global takes place from July 11-12, from 10:00 am local time, to 7:00 pm local time on each day. Mega Mewtwo X and Y will make their Pokémon GO debut, along with Zeraora! To celebrate 10 years of Pokémon GO, this years Global GO Fest event is FREE for all Trainers! Simply log in during the weekend to get all the bonuses, Special Research storylines, and an increased chance to encounter Shiny Pokémon at no cost!

All Trainers will receive the following bonuses and rewards anywhere in world during event hours (10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time)! For the first time, GO Fest Global is FREE for all Trainers, and there is no ticket required.

Saturday, July 11: Spawns and Raids

Saturday’s Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global event features three rotating habitats, each highlighting a different trio of Pokémon types and its own themed Mega Raid and Five-Star Raid lineup. Stormfire Peaks will be active from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by Astral Tides from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Dragonflight Summit from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Pokemon Encounter icon Mega Mewtwo X & Y Debut

This year, Mega Mewtwo X and Y are the stars of the event!

Mewtwo will be able to Mega Evolve, including ones you have already caught. Mewtwo will be able to Mega Evolve into Mega Mewtwo X or Mega Mewtwo Y. Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y are exceptionally powerful Pokémon that require much more Mega Energy than other Pokémon to Mega Evolve. This energy will become available for the first time from Mega Mewtwo Super Mega Raids during Pokémon GO Fest 2026.

As a special bonus with its debut during Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global, every Mega Mewtwo caught from Super Mega Raids will also have at least one Mega Level already unlocked and can be Mega Evolved without the initial energy cost. If you’re lucky, it might even be at Mega Level 2 or 3!

  • Defeat Mega Mewtwo X in Super Mega Raids to get the energy you need to Mega Evolve Mewtwo into Mega Mewtwo X.

Zeraora will debut globally in Pokémon GO via Special Research! Complete the GO Fest 2026: A Thunderous Discovery and meet Zeraora for the first time.

Multiple encounter disclaimer

Trainers will only encounter Zeraora once no matter how many GO Fest 2026 Special Research stories they acquire and complete. If you plan to attend multiple in-person GO Fest 2026 events, the first relevant Special Research story you obtain will award your Zeraora encounter.

Any subsequent GO Fest Special Research you obtain and complete will award you with Zeraora Candy instead of a Zeraora encounter once it is completed.


Global Challenges return

Throughout the weekend, Trainers can work together to complete hourly Global Challenges that are part of three-hour blocks. If the challenge is completed in time, a special bonus will be unlocked for the remainder of the block for ticket-holding Trainers.

Trainers can activate upgraded versions of upcoming events by completing hourly Global Challenges during GO Fest 2026: Global. A new Ultra Unlock event will activate at 15, 30, and 45 successful Global Challenges.

Ultra Unlock: 10th Anniversary Edition

  • If Trainers complete 15 hourly Global Challenges, they’ll boost the 10th Anniversary Party event that runs from Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, July 27, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. local time

Ultra Unlock: Water Festival

  • If Trainers complete 30 hourly Global Challenges, they’ll boost the Water Festival event that runs from Tuesday, August 18, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, August 24, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time

Ultra Unlock: Super Mega Raid Day

  • If Trainers complete 45 hourly Global Challenges, they’ll boost the Super Mega Raid Day event that takes place on August 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time
