Pokémon GO Serene Retreat: G-Max Rillaboom, Shiny Munna & Morelull

During Pokémon GO Fest: Osaka, Japan, a global, free-to-play, event called Serene Retreat takes place. Serene Retreat brings an increased chance to encounter Shiny Munna and Shiny Morelull, but also the debut of Gigantamax Rillaboom!

Gigantamax Rillaboom

Good for Raids

Not much for Raiders during this event. Most Pokémon featured during the event are useful only in Trainer Battles.

Good for Max Battles

Gigantamax Rillaboom is an excellent addition to the lineup of released Gigantamax Pokémon, easily topping the charts in Max Battles where it has a type advantage. Better than G-Max Venusaur in our opinion, plus has a 0.5s fast move (Scratch), which allows it to play well as a Defender/Healer

Good for PvP

Azumarill is an excellent, well ranked, and well rounded staple for the Great League, and we strongly recommend farming Marill candy if you need it. Although Candy XL is not strictly required, it is strongly recommended. Marill is available in Wild Encounters.
