Halloween Part One Event
Morpeko makes their debut in Pokémon GO during Part One of the Halloween event! Dynamax Gastly also debuts, along with Halloween costume themed Rowlet and Froakie.
GO Bigger Event
Dynamax Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise debut during the GO Bigger event! From Saturday, October 26, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time they will be available in Max Battles, and will be our trickiest battles yet in Pokémon GO!
Max Out Season Special Research: Galar Calling
A new Special Research story ‘Galar Calling‘ with branching paths will be available to Trainers! Throughout Pokémon GO: Max Out, you’ll be able to reach new heights with your chosen partner Pokémon.
Depending on which partner Pokémon you choose, your Postcard Book background will change to celebrate your choice!
You can claim this Special Research at no cost from Tuesday, September 3, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 9:59 a.m. local time.
Daily Coin Bounty: Part Two
A new ticket will be available for the Daily Coin Bounty, starting Thursday, October 3, at 12:00 AM local time, and ending Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 11:59 PM local time. There will be new ways to earn coins, plus special bonuses!
GO Battle League Season 20
GO Battle League: Max Out will commence on GO Battle League: Max Out will start on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −8).
The following will occur at the beginning of the Season:
- End-of-Season rewards will be available on the Battle screen.
- Your GO Battle League rank will be reset.
- Rank-up requirements will remain the same as the prior Season.

One-star and three-star Shadow Raids will be available daily, while five-star Shadow Raids will take place on Saturdays and Sundays unless otherwise noted. Also, Shadow Entei will swoop into five-star Shadow Raids during Max Out!
You may even encounter a Shiny Shadow Entei—if you’re lucky!
Season of Max Out
The following bonuses are specific to Max Out:
- Increased XP for a seven-day PokéStop spin streak
- Increased XP and Stardust for a seven-day Pokémon catch streak
- Increased XP from going up a Friendship level
- One additional Candy when trading Pokémon
- Trainers level 31 and above will receive one guaranteed Candy XL when trading Pokémon
Season of Max Out Research Breakthrough
- From September 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. to December 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
