This year’s Pokémon GO World Championships 2025 is being celebrated with some exclusive treats for those who tune in to the Twitch live stream!

Trainers will have the chance to receive two exclusive Timed Research codes when they watch the Pokémon GO Twitch live stream during the Pokémon GO World Championships! You need a Pokémon Trainer Club account linked with Twitch in order to get these codes.

The 2025 Pokémon World Championships will take place from August 15 to 17, 2025, in Anaheim, California. Tune in and watch all the action beginning at 9:00 a.m. PDT each day!

How to Obtain and Redeem a Code

In order to get these codes you need to link your Pokémon Trainer Club account to your Twitch account. Of course, if you are not using PTC to login, remember to link PTC to your main login method first.Once you do that, follow the instructions below.

1. Follow the Pokémon GO Twitch channel

Make sure you’re following the official Pokémon GO Twitch channel so you’ll get a notification when the broadcast begins.

2. Connect your Pokémon Trainer Club account to Twitch.

Follow steps 1–3 on this FAQ page to link your Twitch account.

2. Watch the Pokémon GO World Championships live stream on Day 1 or Day 2

Be sure to catch the Pokémon GO World Championships live stream on Day 1, Day 2, or Day 3 for 30 minutes. (Please note that minimizing the stream will pause the Twitch Drop progress timer on Twitch.)

The Pokémon GO Twitch live stream dates are as follows.

• Friday, August 15, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m. PDT and running until the end of the day’s rebroadcast.
• Saturday, August 16, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m. PDT and running until the end of the day’s rebroadcast.
• Sunday, August 17, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m. PDT and running until the end of the day’s rebroadcast.

Rebroadcasts will occur throughout the weekend outside of the above-listed live show times. If you miss the live broadcast, you can still follow these steps during a rebroadcast to get a code.

4. Claim your Twitch Drop.

Once you’ve watched a stream for 30 minutes, a pop-up in Twitch chat will prompt you to claim your Twitch Drop. You may also claim your drop by visiting the Twitch Drops Inventory Page here.

5. Find your code.

After you select Claim, go to rewards.pokemon.com and select View Inventory. Find the drop and select Show Code.*

6. Redeem your code.
