Pokémon GO Electrike evolves into Pokémon GO Manectric (Max CP of 2131). Manectric is a mid tier electric Pokémon that has limited use in raids and gyms, however, it’s potential to mega evolve in the future is what makes it truly interesting.
We suggest using Manectric as a water type counter and farming a perfect IV Manectric for a future mega evolution.
Manectric in the Pokémon GO meta
Manectric fills the same role as a Jolteon, but it’s not that — electric glass cannon that can be used only in a subset of scenarios where it is super effective. Our thoughts on Manectric are exactly those: use it whenever you would use a Jolteon, but it’s fainted or the fight is not that important.
Always go for Wild Charge as your charged move, as Manectric basically needs it to be a good performer.
Manectric’s saving grace is the potential of a future mega evolution, but it is yet to be seen how that’s going to work out.
Where to find Electrike and Manectric?
The Electrike Pokémon family is known to live in grassy areas. In Pokémon Go, we expect the same, and you can find Electrike and Manectric in Grassy areas, Forests, Gardens, or Parks. Trainers can also encounter these Pokémon in Urban Biomes.
Manectric best moves and movesets in Pokémon GO
Best moveset: Charge Beam / Wild Charge
Manectric’s movepool is quite interesting and varied, as it draws from Electric (STAB) and Fire moves, which is uncharacteristic for many Electric Pokémon. Wild Charge is the best charged move by a mile, benefiting from faster activation, more damage over time when compared to others and it benefits from STAB.
Snarl deals more damage but generates less energy, which makes it less appealing.
- Snarl dark (quick)
- Charge Beam electric (quick)
- Thunder electric (charge, 1 bar)
- Wild Charge electric (charge, 2 bar)
- Flame Burst fire (charge, 2 bar)
