Paris GO Fest 2025 features over 50 meta relevant spawns, with new shiny debuts, regional Pokémon and more. Here are the ones worth catching for PvP, raids, and shiny hunters.
✅ Best Pokémon to Catch at Paris GO Fest 2025
Best catches at Paris GO Fest 2025 include Rhyhorn, Drilbur, Jangmo-o, Sableye, Frillish, Teddiursa, Totodile, Frigibax (shiny debut), and Carbink (shiny debut). These Pokémon are valuable for battles, raids, and collections—make them your top targets.
Do take note that the Paris GO Fest will be divided into two experiences- the park experience and the city experience. The experience for both the Parc de Sceaux and throughout Paris are the same—the only difference is the time of day Trainers are at each location.
I will categorize the Pokémon in this guide based on the habitats available in the park experience. But do keep in mind that you can find all of these in the city experience as well. With that being said, let’s start off with Pokémon found in the first habitat, the Ancient.
Rhyhorn (→ Rhyperior – Top Rock/Ground Raid Attacker)

Rhyhorn’s final evolution is Rhyperior, which is one of the best Rock and Ground-type Raid Attackers. In fact, Shadow Rhyperior is THE best rock-type Raid Attacker available in GO right now.
Sableye (Shadow Variant is a Great League Staple)

Sableye is a great Pokémon for the Great League thanks to its spammy Shadow Claw, Foul Play combo, its solid bulk, and fantastic Dark and Ghost typing. This typing makes Sableye only weak to fairy-type attacks. Though it should be noted that Shadow Sableye vastly outperforms its regular variant in the current meta.
Duskull (→ Dusknoir – PvP Utility in GL & UL)

Duskull’s final evolution, Dusknoir, is fantastic for both the Great League and the Ultra League. The regular variant performs slightly better in the Ultra League, whereas Shadow Dusknoir performs a bit better in the Great League.
Chimecho (Bonus Stardust Catch)

Chimecho gives 500 Stardust on a successful catch, 625 if weather boosted, 750 if Star Piece active, and 938 if both weather boosted and Star Piece active. And you can never have too much Stardust!
Skorupi (→ Drapion – Fast Poison/Dark PvP)

Skorupi’s evolved form is Drapion. It is a great Pokémon for the Great League and the Ultra League. It rose up to prominence along with other poison types such as Clodsire and Toxapex. Though unlike those Pokémon, which are very bulky, Drapion is all about doing damage.
Drilbur (→ Excadrill – Dual-Type Raid & Master League Pick)

Drilbur’s evolution, Excadrill, is a solid Ground and Steel-type Raid attacker. And its shadow form is one of the best for both type categories. Excadrill is also a solid Pokémon for the Master Premier League.
Rufflet (→ Braviary – Solid Flying Raid Attacker)

Rufflet evolves into Braviary, which is one of the best flying-type Raid Attackers even without a shadow form.
Golett (→ Golurk – Shadow PvP/Raid Hybrid)

Golett evolves into Golurk, which in its shadow form is solid for the Great League and the Ultra League. It can also work as a decent shadow ground-type Raid Attacker.
Jangmo-o (→ Kommo-o – Solid Dragon-type PvP Threat)

Jangmo-o is a Pokémon that has multiple uses in PvP. It’s decent in the Little Cup format, its middle-stage evolution is a fun spice pick for the Great League, and its final-stage evolution Kommo-o is solid for the Ultra League. Not only that, it can do well in the Master League as well, and especially the Master League Premier format. It’s even a decent Dragon type Raid Attacker!
Sandile (→ Krookodile)

Sandile’s final evolution Krookodile is a decent Dark and Ground type Raid Attacker.
These are the Pokémon that you can find having fun in the Carnival Grounds:
Heracross (Bug/Fighting Raid Attacker, Regional)

Heracross is a solid bug-type Raid Attacker and an okay Fighting-type Raid Attacker. As a Bug-type Raid Attacker, Heracross prefers Struggle Bug and Megahorn. On the other hand, Counter and Upper Hand are the moves of choice for the fighting-type Heracross.
Teddiursa (→ Ursaluna – Master League)

Teddiursa’s final form, Ursaluna, is one of the few rare non-legendary Pokémon that’s good for the Master League. Not only that, it’s one of the best ground-type Raid Attackers as well. In this case, with Tackle and High Horsepower.
Vanillite (→ Vanilluxe)

Vanillite’s final form is Vanilluxe. It is a solid ice-type Raid Attacker with a move combination of Frost Breath and Avalanche.
Frillish (→ Jellicent – Great/Ultra League Wall)

Frillish’s evolution, Jellicent, is one of the best Pokémon for both the Great League and the Ultra League. It has decent bulk, a unique Water and Ghost typing, and two fast energy-generating fast attacks in Bubble and Hex.
Dewpider (→ Araquanid – Niche Great League)

Dewpider’s evolution, Araquanid, is a solid spice pick for the Great League. It can be quite disruptive with Bug Bite, Bug Buzz, and Bubble Beam. However, Dewpider by itself has one of the best use cases. It is one of the best Pokémon for some of the Little Cup formats, such as the Little Element Cup.
Togedemaru (Electric/Steel Great League Spice Pick)

Togedemaru is one of the rare Electric type Pokémon to perform well in the Great League. While it is frail, it makes up for it with exceptional spammability and Steel subtyping.
Cetoddle (→ Cetitan – Strong Ice DPS)

Cetoddle’s evolution, Cetitan, is a fantastic ice-type Raid Attacker with a move combination of Ice Shard and Avalanche.
Frigibax (→ Baxcalibur – PvP & Raid + Shiny Debut)

Much like Jangmo-o mentioned before, Frigibax is a Pokémon with many uses. By itself, it can be used in the Little Cup format; its mid-stage evolution, Arctibax, is a solid spice pick for the Great League, and its final evolution, Baxcalibur, is a solid Pokémon for the Master League. It is also one of the best ice-type Raid Attackers and a solid dragon-type Raid Attacker.
GO Fest 2025 also marks the debut of Frigibax’s shiny so this is one for the collectors as well.
Slugma (→ Magcargo – Little Cup & GL Spice)

Slugma is a solid Little Cup Pokémon. And its evolution, Magcargo, is an okay spice pick for the Great League as well.
These Pokémon can be found roaming the Noble Fields:
Dunsparce (Great League Anti-Meta Core Breaker)

Dunsparce has some uses in the Great League as it is a Normal type with decent bulk, and spammability thanks to the fast energy-generating Rollout.
Timburr (→ Conkeldurr – Top Fighting Raid Attacker)

Timburr’s final evolution is Conkeldurr, which is a very solid fighting-type Raid Attacker with a move combination of Counter and Dynamic Punch.
Karrablast (→ Escavalier)

Karrablast evolves into Escavalier, which is a solid bug-type Raid Attacker with a move combination of Bug Bite and Megahorn.
Shelmet (→ Accelgor)

Shelmet’s evolution, Accelgore, is an okay bug-type Raid Attacker, and Shelmet itself has a play in the Little Cup format.
Flabébé (→ Florges – PvP Fairy)

Another high-value Pokémon with many uses. Florges, Flabébé’s final form, is a decent spice pick for the Great League, solid in the Ultra League, and one of the absolute best Pokémon in the Master League despite not being a legendary. It is also a solid fairy-type Raid Attacker.
These Pokémon are out looking for Sunken Treasure little did they know they themselves were the treasure:
Totodile (→ Feraligatr – Fantastic PvP, Solid Water DPS)

Totodile is one of the best Pokémon to catch in Pokémon GO, period. The final evolution of the water starter from Johto is Feraligatr. And Feraligatr is fantastic in all three of the PvP leagues. The raw damage and spammability of Feraligatr’s Shadow Claw, Hydro Cannon is next to none. Not only that, Feraligatr is one of the best water-type Raid Attackers as well, especially in its shadow form. Though, do keep in mind that Feraligatr needs one or multiple legacy moves to reach its full potential.
With Totodile as one of the featured First Partner (starter) Pokémon for Pokémon Legends Z-A, it is possible Feraligatr will also get a future Mega evolution!
Inkay (→ Malamar – PvP Meta Breaker in GL & UL)

Inkay’s evolution, Malamar, is an interesting case. It went from limited meta status to one of the best meta Pokémon for the Great League and the Ultra League. This is thanks to some move buffs making Malamar a lot more viable. Psywave, for example, is a fantastic move on Malamar since it can generate energy quickly, and the damage quickly adds up too. Pair that up with Foul Play and Superpower, and your opponent will be constantly playing a guessing game.
Skrelp (→ Dragalge – Ultra League)

Skrelp and its evolution, Dragalge, have a rather unique Poison and Dragon typing. It can be an okay spice pick in the Great League, but it definitely performs better in the Ultra League thanks to it having quite a healthy dose of resistances. As a bonus, it can be an okay poison-type Raid Attacker as well.
Clauncher (→ Clawitzer)

Clauncher’s evolution Clawitzer, is a solid water-type Raid Attacker with a move combination of Water Gun and Crabhammer.
Carbink (Great League, Shiny Debut)

Carbink is a very solid Pokémon for the Great League, thanks to its immense bulk and a personal favorite of mine. GO Fest 2025 is also the debut of shiny Carbink, making it a fantastic choice for collectors as well.
Wimpod (→ Golisopod – PvP)

Wimpod’s evolution, Golisopod, is a solid PvP Pokémon for all three leagues, especially Master League Premier. Its Shadow Claw, X-Scissor, and Aqua Jet combination makes it quite spammy. Golisopod is also a solid water and bug-type Raid Attacker.
These Pokémon do not provide any gameplay benefits; however, along with shiny Frigibax and Carbink, and the two costumed Pikachus found in Carnival Grounds and Noble Fields, these Pokémon make for great collectors’ items:
Fan Rotom and Hawlucha (Rare Mexico Regional, Global Debut)
Hawlucha is typically only found in Mexico but will now be available in all in-person GO Fest events this year. Along with that, Rotom Fan will also be available as snapshot encounters.
Unown (SWORD and SHIELD!? Forms)
All habitats will also spawn specific Unown, with their shiny forms also being available (except for W, which hasn’t been released shiny for some reason!). If you’ve taken the daunting challenge of catching every shiny Unowns, you definitely don’t want to miss this chance!
Spinda (Unique Pattern per Habitat)
Unique Spinda patterns will also be available in each habitat if you’re trying to complete your Spinda-dex.
Another year, another exciting GO Fest. This time around, there seems to be quite a big selection of useful Pokémon to catch. And of course, with this being a Galar-themed season, we have the legendary dogs’ special form debuting as well. I hope you have a wonderful time this GO Fest and stay safe out there! But before you leave, it’s worth noting that this guide only accounts for those that we know for sure will be available during the Paris GO Fest period.
Also worth noting is that we have a huge preparation guide ready that you might want to check, whether this is your first GO Fest or if you want to be completely prepared to face GO Fest 2025.
Goodbye for now, Pokémon trainers. Priom-out!
