“Do you liek Mudkipz?”
Mudkip is a Tier 1 raid boss in Pokémon Go and is a part of the Festival of Colors Event, running from March 15th, 10 AM – March 20th, 8 PM, 2022.
Mudkip evolves all the way into the versatile Swampert, a Pokémon that is one of the few to be viable in all three PvP leagues as well as PvE. However, Swampert evolved in the event won’t learn Hydro Cannon and you would need an Elite Charged TM to teach Swampert this exclusive move.
But guess what? Swampert is totally worth using an Elite TM on. Not only does it make it viable all across the board, but it also sets up Mega Swampert: a meta Pokémon for both the Water and Ground typing.
Finally, Swampert boasts of a fun purple shiny! All the reasons you need to raid Mudkip!
Being a pure Water type, it is weak to the Electric and Grass types.
Mudkip can be caught with the following CP values:
- 597 – 644 CP at Level 20, no weather boost
- 746 – 805 CP at Level 25 with Rainy weather boost
Mudkip Raid Counters
Since Shadow Pokémon are extremely expensive to power up and require specific events to remove Frustration with a Charge TM, they will NOT be listed as raid counters in this article. That being said, if you have the shadow form of a listed raid counter Pokémon powered up and TMed, use it.
The best counters for Mudkip are the following:
