How to evolve Murkrow into Honchkrow
Shiny Murkrow
Shiny Murkrow takes on a vibrant purple colouring. For all the collectors, there is a very subtle gender difference between the Murkrow shiny – the tails are slightly different!

The following Pokémon will grant you extra bonuses when catching Murkrow if they are Mega/Primal evolved. We highly recommend Mega Evolving a Pokémon during this event to get as much candy as possible!
A Note on Mega Catch Bonus
While a Pokémon is Mega-Evolved, additional XP and Candy is granted when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it, or for any raid boss caught. These do not stack with each other. Additionally, High and Max Level Mega-Evolved Pokémon grant an increased chance to obtain Candy XL when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it.
Honchkrow is a great Flying type Pokémon so it is worth having some evolved.
PVE
Honchkrow is a D tier attacker, but can be a decent budget attacker for newer Trainers.
PVP
Honchkrow can be a risky spice pick. One of the ultimate boom or bust options in PvP. Really not much to say than that… just reminding you that it remains out there, lurking, daring you to take a shot with it. High risk, but potentially sky high reward.
Pancham
Pancham is a Fighting type that has a particular evolution requirement: you need to catch 32 Dark-type Pokémon with Pancham as your buddy. We recommend setting Pancham as your buddy while catching Murkrow. Dark-type Pokémon are relatively rare outside of events, so make sure to use this opportunity!
