Mysterious Masks Special Research Guide

Mysterious Masks is a Halloween-themed Special Research that features Yamask and Galarian Yamask. During this Research, professor Willow and Rhi need your help to discover mysteries of these two masked Pokémon.

Mysterious Masks Special Research is available to claim from Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 10:00 am local time until Thursday, November 1, 2022, at 10:00 am local time. Mysterious Masks is free, and available during Pokémon GO Halloween 2022 Event: Part 1 and Pokémon GO Halloween 2022 Event: Part 2.

Everything to know about Halloween 2022 in Pokémon GO

Halloween 2022 is a two part event in Pokémon GO, starts from October 20, 2022, and lasts until November 1, 2022. During the event, Ghost and Dark-type Pokémon appear in larger numbers, especially at night, and Trainers earn 2x Candy from catching, hatching and transferring Pokémon.

Shiny Galarian Yamask and Shiny Noibat make their Pokémon GO debuts, alongside Mega Bannette. Mega Banette is available in Mega Raids. Giratina caught during the event will know Shadow Force, a new Ghost-type Charged Attack.

The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild.

In addition to the freely available Halloween-themed Mysterious Masks Special Research, there will be two separate paid tickets available for the event as well.

• For $1 US (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency, plus any applicable taxes and fees) you can purchase a ticket that will grant access to Timed Research featuring encounters with Yamask and Galarian Yamask.
