Pokémon GO Hyper Training Guide: Gain max IVs with Bottle Caps

Learn how Hyper Training and Gold Bottle Caps help you max Pokémon IVs in Pokémon GO. Available starting with the Ancients Recovered event, exclusively via the GO Pass Deluxe rewards track.

Pokémon GO introduced Hyper Training during the Ancients Recovered event, letting Trainers maximize their Pokémon’s IV stats – HP, Attack, and Defense – using a special item: the Bottle Cap!

The Gold Bottle Cap was made available exclusively via the deluxe Global GO Pass and allows Trainers to push almost perfect Pokémon into hundos with some effort, in June 2025. The Gold Bottle Cap allows trainers to strengthen all 3 IV stats.

The Silver Bottle Cap made its official debut in Pokémon GO during the Into The Wild (2025) event during November 2025. This item gives a permanent upgrade to one of your attack, defense or HP IV stats on your chosen Pokémon.

Here’s how to get a Bottle Cap, how Hyper Training works, and how much it will cost to fix a single Pokémon.
