Mega Chandelure is a Ghost and Fire type Super Mega Raid boss. Best Mega Chandelure raid counters include powerful Dark, Ghost, Ground, Rock, and Water types, with a mixed range of different counters available to help you defeat it.
The Mega Raid Boss is always catchable in its base form, so the CP ranges are for a regular Chandelure. Chandelure can be caught with the following CP values:
- From 1784 CP to 1867 CP, with no weather boost
- From 2231 CP to 2335 CP with Fog and Sunny weather boost
Super Mega Chandelure Raids require a minimum of 7 Trainers to defeat them, and each Trainer will need to have a Mega Pokémon in their team. This guide will tell you how to beat this haunting Mega, as well as its optimal stats, moves, and CP range.
Mega Chandelure is a Ghost and Fire type, which makes it weak to many popular Dark, Ghost, Ground, Rock and Water Pokémon, which dominate the counters table.
For Mega Pokémon, we recommend the strongest one you have, but any Mega will suffice to break a Shield. Mega Tyranitar is great, as well as Mega Greninja.
Recommended Megas
Primal Pokémon cannot be used to break shields in Super Mega Raids, so we do not recommend using them as counters. This specifically means do not bring a Primal Groudon or Primal Kyogre to these Raids.

Like all Mega Raid Bosses, you can catch the shiny version of Chandelure from a Raid. The odds to get a shiny Chandelure are 1 in 10 Raids. Here are the sprites for normal Chandelure and Mega Chandelure.

During Super Mega Raids the Mega Pokémon can become enraged, and even use shields that dramatically reduce the amount of damage they take. You’ll have to work together to take down these shields, but each Trainer can only take down one shield.
- Once the Mega Pokémon boss activates a shield, a Mega Pokémon from your Raid team will be automatically sent into the battle.
- Your next attack by your Mega Pokémon will be significantly more powerful than usual, allowing you to break down the boss’s shield!
Once you and your fellow Trainers have broken enough shields, the Raid Boss will return to its normal state, and you will be able to do normal damage again.
All the best, Trainers!
