The debut of Eternatus during the Dark Skies event, paving the way to the Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale, has just become grander with the gigantic Legendary adding the new Dynamax Cannon Adventure Effect under its belt.
Adventure Effects
Adventure Effects are temporary bonuses in Pokémon GO, activated by powerful Pokémon attacks that may be used outside of battle. Adventure Effects have now been added to Eternatus when it uses its signature Dynamax Cannon.
This new Adventure Effect is designed specifically to boost your chances in Max Battles, and could come in very handy for those attempting to short-man tricky Gigantamax Battles, and Legendary Dynamax Battles in particular!
You can encounter Eternatus during the GO Pass: Max Finale extravaganza, and then challenge the mighty Eternamax Eternatus in Max Battles to gain tons of Eternatus Candy and Candy XL to power up your Eternatus and use Dynamax Cannon in your battles.
Eternatus: Dynamax Cannon
The Eternatus you catch from the GO Pass: Max Finale encounter will know the Charged Move Dynamax Cannon. The Adventure Effect associated with this attack will have the following impact in Max Battles:
- Boost your Pokémon’s Max Moves by one level in Max Battles for 10 minutes.
- As a result, Max Moves that are locked will be temporarily raised to Level 1.
- Similarly, Max Moves that have been completely raised to Level 3 will increase to Level 4 with an outsized power bonus!
You can activate Dynamax Cannon’s Adventure Effect for 10 minutes by using the following:
- 5,000 Stardust
- 30 Eternatus Candy
Note that you can extend the timer for this Adventure Effect in increments of 10 minutes by using more Stardust and Eternatus Candy. The timer can be raised to 2 hours when you tap ‘Use,’ and you can tap it again to add more time, up to 24 hours in all.
