Niantic has shared additional details on all Pokémon GO Fest 2023 habitats, raids, and bonuses. We finally know that Mega Rayquaza is coming, how the GO Fest 2023 T-Shirt looks like, and which Pokémon can be encountered in every habitat.
Pokémon GO Fest 2023 Global Habitats and Raids
For all Trainers, special Pokémon will appear in four unique habitats, which will rotate hourly during the Pokémon GO Fest 2023 Global event!

Mega Rayquaza makes its global Pokémon GO debut! Mega Rayquaza, the Sky High Pokémon, will make its worldwide Pokémon GO debut in raids during Pokémon GO Fest 2023: Global!
Trainers participating in the global event will be able to find Meteorites, a new item in Pokémon GO, via Special Research. These Meteorites seem to have some connection with Mega Rayquaza…
Trainers who have tickets to GO Fest 2023: Global will have additional opportunities to receive Meteorites via Special Research tasks on Sunday. Only Rayquaza that know Dragon Ascent will be able to Mega Evolve when given Rayquaza Mega Energy.

Exclusive Bonuses
All Trainers will receive the following bonuses and rewards during event hours.
- Lure Modules activated will last for one hour
- 2× friendship bonus damage in raids
- Trainers will be able to enjoy Field Research themed around the different Pokémon habitats
- The Remote Raid limit will be increased to 20 per day from Saturday, August 26 at 12:00 a.m. to Sunday, August 27, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. local time.
- Take snapshots during the event—you never know who might show up!
Saturday and Sunday Special Research
- On Saturday, ticket-holding Trainers will be able to complete exclusive Special Research to learn more about the Mythical Pokémon Diancie—and they’ll get an opportunity to encounter it!
- Then, on Sunday, ticket-holders will receive extended Special Research focused on Mega Rayquaza and the newly discovered Meteorites!

It’s time for sky-high adventure! Mega Rayquaza, the Sky High Pokémon, will descend from the ozone layer to appear in raids throughout New York City! Ticket holders will be able to obtain the items necessary to harness the power of this Mega-Evolving Pokémon during this event.
