New Pokémon GO Season Name Accidentally Released: Max Out

Trainers! It seems Niantic have accidentally released the name of the next season of Pokémon GO due to begin on the 3rd of September. It seems that the next season will be called ‘Max Out’.

Eagle-eyed trainers spotted the new logo on the Pokémon GO Live website, before it was swiftly taken down. It features the words ‘Max Out’ on a stormy purple background with red clouds, which is a reference to Dynamax in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

Dynamax Adventures and Pokémon

You can see above Suicune the swirling storm clouds of purple and red. Dynamax has been teased as coming soon to Pokémon GO with a new video released at the Pokémon World Championships 2024 closing ceremony, and it looks like it will be coming very soon! Expect official news towards the end of August/the first days of September, as the season begins on the 3rd of September rather than the 1st of the month as is usual.

You can find out read more about Dynamaxing here:

Not only does this signify a huge new feature coming to Pokémon GO, it also seems we will have a focus on the Galar region. The Galar region is generation VIII, and has been widely considered to be very neglected in Pokémon GO since it’s initial release back in 2021 as part of that year’s Ultra Unlock events. The Galar region introduced 94 new Pokémon, as well as a variety of regional variants of existing Pokémon and new evolutions.

It feels long overdue for Galar to be a focus in Pokémon GO, and we are seriously hyped! Dynamax and Gigantamax will be huge new additions to the game, and new Pokémon are always exciting. Which Pokémon from Galar are you most looking forward to? I for one can’t wait to see Sinistea, Sizzlipede, Applin and Dreepy!
