Pokémon GO’s September 14-20 2026 week has us enter the second week of the season of Twilight Trails! We welcome the new season with the end of the Mega Squads event, celebrate Pokémon Horizons with a new event, and Super Mega Staraptor Raid Day. Plus the weekly rotating Raid Hours, Spotlight Hour, Dynamax Battles and Mega Raids.
- Max Monday (September 14): Dynamax Rhyhorn is featured in Max Battles from 6 PM to 7 PM
- Raid Hour (September 16): Zamazenta is featured in Five-Star Raids from 6 PM to 7 PM
- Raid Bosses (September 16): Zamazenta and Mega Venusaur enter the raid pool from 10 AM
- Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event (September 16-22): Charmander wearing Friede’s goggles debuts, increased chance to encounter Kecleon and more
- Spotlight Hour (September 17): Charmander wearing Friede’s Goggles is featured from 6 PM to 7PM
- Super Mega Staraptor Raid Day (September 19): Mega Staraptor makes their Pokémon GO debut
Max Monday: Dynamax Rhyhorn
On Monday, September 14th, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Dynamax Rhyhorn will appear in Max Battles! Dynamax Rhyhorn will continue to appear from September 14-20 in Max Battles.
Raid Hour: Zamazenta
On Wednesday, September 16th, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Zamazenta will be the featured Pokémon for Raid Hour.

Spotlight Hour: Charmander Wearing Friede’s Goggles
On Thursday, September 17th, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Charmander wearing Friede’s Goggles will be the featured Pokémon for Spotlight Hour, along with 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
Mega Squad

The Mega Squads event kicks off the new Twilight Trails Season from Tuesday, September 8 at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, September 14, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
The event introduces Maschiff and Mabosstiff to Pokémon GO, alongside the debut of Shiny Flamigo. Mega Beedrill and Mega Houndoom can also reach the new Super Max Mega Level, unlocking powerful additional Charged Attacks while Mega Evolved.
Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event

The Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event celebrates season 3 of the TV series Pokémon Horizons: Rising Hope releasing in the USA and UK, taking place from Wednesday, September 16, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time. You can watch in the USA on Netflix, and in the UK on BBC iPlayer.
The event introduces Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard wearing Friede’s goggles to Pokémon GO, as well as an increased chance to encounter Kecleon at Pokéstops. Pikachu with Cap’s Hat also returns, and there are rotating timed spawns.
Super Mega Staraptor Raid Day

Mega Staraptor will debut during a special Super Mega Raid Day event on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
You can look forward to Mega Staraptor in Super Mega Raids, with the potential to be shiny (with boosted odds of 1 in 10 encounters), and up to five additional free raid passes for the day.
From September 9 to September 15, Zacian will appear in Five-Star Raids.

One-star and three-star Shadow Raids will be available daily, while five-star Shadow Raids will take place on Saturdays and Sundays unless otherwise noted. Also, Shadow Incarnate Forme Thundurus will swoop into five-star Shadow Raids during Twilight Trails! You may even encounter a Shiny Shadow Incarnate Forme Thundurus—if you’re lucky!

Pokémon GO’s September 2026 GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe feature exclusive rewards, including an encounter with Latios, XP and Stardust bonuses, and the Timed Incubator!
Trainers can earn GO Points by completing Pass Tasks, unlock milestone rewards through ranking up, and access premium items by upgrading to the Deluxe version via the Pokémon GO Web Store.
Trainers will automatically receive GO Pass: GO Pass: September on Tuesday, September 8, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
