After discovering that Niantic deployed additional servers for European players this morning, we have more good news to report – Asian players are also getting dedicated servers! This does not come as a surprise, as the game is launching across Asia as we speak.
The newly added servers are the following:
- Hong Kong #1 and #2
That brings us to 44 servers world wide, 32 more than we had last week – it seems Niantic is finally addressing infrastructural problems! It’s unclear if the current architecture behind Pokemon GO enables “load balancing”, so we are not yet sure if Asian players will overflow to European and US servers, causing lag spikes and login problems again.
