Trainers, if you are headed to the in-person Los Angeles Pokémon GO Tour: Unova, a host of information has been shared last minute that directly impacts what you can and cannot take into the Rose Bowl Stadium.
We highly recommend giving this list of rules and information a good read to ensure that you are only taking allowed goods into the Stadium, so you don’t have to potentially use a bag check, or throw away valuable items.
Notably, there is a clear bag policy, and trainers are only allowed one battery pack per person, with rules on the sizes.
How to Enter
To start your journey, make your way to Rose Bowl Stadium. Rose Bowl Stadium is situated in the heart of Pasadena, a little under 30 miles from Los Angeles International Airport, and is easily accessible on foot, by private vehicle, and by public transit from Old Pasadena.
Trainers can enter the Pokémon GO Tour 2025 experience via three entrances.
- Gate A (Recommended for Autumn Masquerade and Summer Vacation)
- Gate G (Recommended for Autumn Masquerade and Summer Vacation)
- Gate K (Recommended for Winter Caverns and Spring Soiree)
Please note that your ticket purchase designates your starting time, date, and habitat at Rose Bowl Stadium. You WILL NOT be able to play in the stadium or golf course before your assigned time and date. You must have a ticket in order to access the venue and gameplay.
Transport Options
There are a few different ways to travel to the Rose Bowl Stadium, including public transport and more.
Airport
- Pasadena’s major airport is Hollywood Burbank Airport. It takes approximately 25 minutes to drive from the airport to Rose Bowl Stadium.
- Los Angeles International Airport is 28.3 miles away from Pasadena. It takes approximately 50–60 minutes to drive from the airport to Rose Bowl Stadium. Expect traffic and plan accordingly.
Rideshare/Taxis
Uber, Lyft, and taxis have designated drop-off locations at Rose Bowl Stadium. Rideshare may drop-off in Lot H (34.157860, -118.164478).
Metro
Trainers can take the A Line from any of the following stations in downtown Los Angeles to get to Pasadena.
- Pico
- 7th St./Metro Center
- Grand Ave. Arts/Bunker Hill
- Historic Broadway
- Little Tokyo/Arts District
Biking/Wheeled Devices
You are welcome to ride your bike to the event, but the use of wheeled devices (bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, scooters, etc.) at Rose Bowl Stadium is not permitted.
- Bike racks available on a first-come, first-served basis in North Lot I (34.156206, -118.166534).
- Children’s strollers and wheeled equipment used by disabled individuals are permitted.
Parking
Parking at Rose Bowl Stadium must be purchased in advance of Pokémon GO Tour: Unova – Los Angeles. Limited parking will be available on event days. Parking is available for purchase here.
- Paid parking purchased before arrival: $34.00
- Paid parking purchased upon arrival at Rose Bowl Stadium: $35.00
- RV/Limo paid parking: $80.00
Accessible Parking
All lots at Rose Bowl Stadium have designated ADA parking spaces. There will be reserved ADA parking spaces available. ADA parking spaces have the same parking fees at Rose Bowl stated above.
Pre-paid ADA parking is available within the park on a first-come, first-served basis. Accessible parking is based on first-come, first-parked. Once accessible parking lots fill, patrons are directed to the closest available general parking area. In some instances the closest available parking for accessible parking is on grass.
Patrons with a state-issued accessible parking placard or license plate will be required to present upon request the accessible identification/registration card that is issued to the person. Rose Bowl Stadium honors out-of-state accessible placards and identification/registration cards to gain access to accessible parking.
Accessible parking spaces are located at several locations within multiple lots around the venue. ADA and Access Vehicle drop-off and pick-up at the Rose Bowl Stadium and in the Arroyo Seco is located in the northeast corner of Lot I of the Rose Bowl Stadium parking lots.
Overnight RV Parking
No RV parking will be allowed overnight at Rose Bowl.
Bag Policy
The Rose Bowl Stadium has implemented a clear bag policy for Pokémon GO Tour: Unova – Los Angeles. Please ensure that you have an approved bag prior to arriving at the Rose Bowl Stadium.
Approved Bags:
- 12” x 6” x 12” clear plastic bag
- 1-gallon plastic freezer bag
- Clutch with a shoulder strap (clutch may not be larger than 4.5” x 6.5”)
- Clutch with a wrist strap (clutch may not be larger than 4.5” x 6.5”)
- Diaper bag, as long as accompanied by a child

Portable Battery Policy
The Rose Bowl Stadium has implemented a portable battery policy for Pokémon GO Tour: Unova – Los Angeles. One portable battery will be allowed per person, and the battery must be the size of a smartphone or smaller. Additional portable batteries and oversized batteries brought must be returned to your vehicle.
PokéStop charging stations will be positioned throughout Rose Bowl Stadium and Brookside Golf Course during the event, so Trainers can fuel up for their adventures!
Prohibited Items
The Rose Bowl Stadium has their own rules about what can and cannot enter the stadium, be sure to have a read as some are fairly unusual!
Allowed:
- Strollers (cannot be stored in an aisle or under a seat, and are not permitted on the Rose Bowl Stadium field)
- Binoculars
- Blankets, sheets, towels
- Cameras (basic point-and-shoot consumer-grade cameras)
- Sealed sunscreen (no aerosol containers)
- Factory-sealed bottles of water or empty reusable water bottles (free water-filling stations are available on-site)
Prohibited:
Large bags, backpacks, and purses
Animals
- Only Service animals will be permitted inside the event space with proper credentials. Service animals include guide dogs, signal dogs, or other animals that have been trained to provide support to a person with disabilities. Any other animal poses a threat to the health and safety of others and will not be permitted inside the event space.
Sports and Play Equipment
- Balls, toys, or sports equipment
- Skates, skateboards, hoverboards, or bicycles
- Scooters, wagons, carts (including red wagons), or any personal motorized vehicles (not including assistance devices)
- Water guns or squirt guns
Banners, Flags, and Poles
- Banners, signs, poles, flags, banners, totems, or sticks
Containers and Coolers
- Beverage containers larger than 32 oz./1 liter (factory-sealed plastic bottles and empty reusable bottles allowed; limit 2 per person)
- Cans, glass bottles, glass containers, or alcoholic beverages
- Coolers of any kind (exceptions may be made for medical use)
Drones and Remote-Controlled Devices
- Drones or any other remote flying devices
Smoking and Tobacco Products
- Smoking is prohibited at the Rose Bowl Stadium, both indoors and outdoors, pursuant to Pasadena Municipal Code Chapter 8.78
- Smoking or vaping of any form of cannabis product is not allowed anywhere in the Licensed Premises
Alcohol and Drugs
- Cigarettes, e-cigs, or vaping devices
- Illegal and illicit substances of any kind
- Drugs or drug paraphernalia
- Consumption of alcoholic beverages except in designated areas. It is prohibited to consume alcoholic beverages on roadways, parking lots, playgrounds, swimming pools, athletic fields, tennis courts, community centers, and at youth events without prior approval of the Director of Parks & Recreation or designee.
Firearms and Weapons
- Carrying, possessing, or discharging of firearms, firecrackers, rockets, torpedoes, fireworks, slingshots, or boomerangs within any County facility and parks is prohibited
Food and Cooking
- Outside food (except for those with medical dietary restrictions)
- Preparation or cooking of food on-site
Cameras and Audio/Video Equipment
- Unauthorized cameras with lenses longer than 3.5 inches, interchangeable or telephoto lenses
- Unauthorized video cameras and equipment
- Camera accessories, such as selfie sticks, tripods, monopods, GoPro mounts and attachments, or other commercial equipment
- Professional audio recording equipment
- Professional-grade radios or walkie-talkies
Large Items
- Boxes or wrapped packages
- Large backpacks (no frames or camping gear)
- Stadium seat cushions with metal frames
- Umbrellas
- Chairs of any kind
Noise and Music
- Noisemakers, including thunder sticks, musical instruments, whistles, air horns, and boom boxes
- Excessively loud music from external or internal vehicle speakers or portable radios (defined as music at a level that annoys other park users or neighbors)
Tents and Structures
- Tents, canopies, or shade structures of any kind
- Hammocks
- Anything that requires being affixed to park features
Unauthorized Activities and Vendors
- Unauthorized/unlicensed vendors
- Unauthorized solicitation and materials, including handbills, flyers, stickers, giveaways, samples, etc.
- Sale or bartering of goods/services, food, and/or beverages without prior approval of the Director of Parks & Recreation or designee
Miscellaneous
- Aerosol containers (including sunscreen and personal beauty products)
- Helium balloons
- Laser pointers
- Fires, other than those in designated picnic stoves, grills, braziers, or fire pits

Bag Check In
This information has not been shared on any official site or social media, but Niantic employee Kestrel has shared the following:
Bag check-in (where you can store all your non-plastic bag items, batteries for charging, etc.) are located near Gate A at the front of the stadium.
No outside food or beverage will be permitted with the exception of two factory-sealed water bottles. There will be a variety of food vendors on-site.
Water fountains and hydration stations to refill water bottles will be available throughout the golf course and Rose Bowl Stadium.
The event will have food vendors that will be able to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dietary needs.
