Today, in a long-awaited Pokémon Presents, new information was not only revealed for the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A game, but also Pokémon GO, Pokémon Sleep, Pokémon Unite, the Trading Card Game, and more!

The Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale is happening August 23–24, 2025, and the Pokémon Presents confirmed that Eternatus is indeed the star of the event! The trailer revealed that all of the currently released Gigantamax Pokémon will feature, and we’ll need to work together to take down Eternatus for the first time ever.
You can also use code GOFESTMAX in the Pokémon GO Web Store to gain access to a free Timed Research that allows you to choose a path of either Gigantamax Rillaboom, Gigantamax Cinderace, or Gigantamax Inteleon. Choose wisely, these Pokémon will be invaluable in future Max Battles!
Eternatus is going to be the most difficult battle we have faced yet in Pokémon GO, so be sure to invest in your Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon and get prepared!
With a host of new Mega Evolutions rumoured for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, we got confirmation that Mega Dragonite is coming! It features heavily in the trailer, and has an intriguing design that takes inspiration from Dragonair with the wings on it’s head, and the pearl on it’s tail. How do you feel about the design? The design retains the main body of Dragonite, with some more ethereal elements!
Also shown were Eternal Flower Floette along with AZ which had been heavily rumoured for a new Mega Evolution, and Furfrou which is a main stay of the Kalos region.
There will be two different main characters to choose from, with distinct day and night modes for your adventure.
Pre-order bonuses were also announced.
A new series of Pokémon Concierge has been announced, due to arrive September 4th! This was a truly adorable series, and the follow up is bound to be well received. Plus, who doesn’t love to see Psyduck get a starring role?
The Pokémon Company collaboration with Aardman Animations in the UK has been confirmed for release in 2027, and is focused around Sirfetch’d and Pichu! Aardman are best known for Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run, and the stop animation style combined with Pokémon looks really fun.
The first real life outdoor Pokémon attraction, PokéPark Kanto, will open in early 2026! It is located in a corner of Yomiuriland in Tokyo’s Tama Hills. A lush forest area will play home to over 600 Pokémon, letting you discover Pokémon in real life for the first ever time! Ticket sales will begin in late 2025, and we expect this to be an incredibly popular tourist attraction!
A new area is coming in Pokémon Sleep in November 2025, Amber Canyon! Trapinch is highlighted as a featured Pokémon, and the area looks to be a desert and mountain sort of region. The Sleep section also mentions a return of Entei, Raikou and Suicune in an event coming soon.
Two new Pokémon games were announced, and look set to be available on both the Nintendo Switch, and iOS/Android.
Pokémon Friends
Pokémon Friends is a puzzle game in which you complete puzzles, to collect Pokémon plushies! It is available now in your mobile game app store, and the Switch shop.
Pokémon Champions
Pokémon Champions is a new battle-focused game, and you can even bring Pokémon from HOME into the game! Three different battle modes will be available, in two different formats, and as you grow in the game you can add more Pokémon to your team.
Pokémon Trading Card Game: Mega Evolution expansion will include:
- Over 180 cards
- Nearly a dozen Mega Evolution Pokémon ex
- More than 15 Trainer cards
- More than 50 Pokémon and Trainer cards with special illustrations
It will be released on September 26 and the card arts look unreal!
A free update geared for Switch 2 is available for Scarlet and Violet that aims to improve graphics and smooth out the game play.
New Tera Raid Battle for Scarlet and Violet start tomorrow, which include the Shiny Treasures of Ruin! Globally trainers will need to work together to defeat one million Tera Raid Battles in order to obtain them via Mystery Gift. The shiny forms for Wo-Chien, Ting-Lu, Chien-Pao, and Chi-Yu are amazing and well worth the hard work.
Shiny Wo-Chien will be appear first between July 23rd and August 3rd with the Grass Tera Type. Next up is Shiny Chien Pao with the Ice Tera Type from August 4th to August 17th. Then Shiny Ting-Lu with the Ground Tera Type will feature between August 18th and August 31st. Finally, Shiny Chi-Yu with the Fire Tera Type will be appear between September 1st and September 4th.
