Ticket Update: Pokémon GO Wild Area: Sendai • Tohoku

Pokémon GO have issued an update regarding how the ticket purchasing process with work for the Pokémon GO Wild Area: Sendai Tohoku. This year they are implementing a first come, first served registration process for Pokémon GO Wild Area: Sendai • Tohoku, stating that they hope this new process will prioritise the “most dedicated Trainers”.

Beginning on September 11, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. JST, Trainers can visit the In-Person Tickets page on pokemongo.com and register their interest in tickets for Pokémon GO Wild Area: Sendai • Tohoku. It is recommended that Trainers register as soon as possible, as tickets are limited and availability cannot be guaranteed to all Trainers who register.

  • Registration will open September 11, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. JST
  • Registration will close September 15 at 7:59 a.m. JST.
  • Trainers will not be charged for registering interest.

Following the registration period, registrations will be processed in the order they were received, and Trainers will be notified via the in-game News if they are successful or not.

Once Trainers have been notified that their registration has been successfully reserved, they will have a dedicated window to enter the ticketing portal when the purchase window opens and make their purchase.

Trainers will only be able to purchase a maximum of four tickets in their order. Ticket add-ons, including Extra Day add-ons, can be added to an order at any time following successful purchase. Please note that while notified Trainers are guaranteed a ticket during this dedicated window, we cannot guarantee a specific date.

If additional tickets remain available following the first wave of registration, Pokémon GO will share an update with all Trainers.

This registration process will only be applicable for Pokémon GO Wild Area: Sendai • Tohoku. Tickets for the global and Mexico City Pokémon GO Wild Area events are not impacted by this change and will go on sale to all Trainers soon.

We are intrigued as to how this will impact trainers who were hoping to head to this event, as many will have already potentially booked hotels and travel. If you were hoping to attend we would advise that you ensure any bookings are cancellable and refundable, as we suspect this may be an incredibly popular event that will fill up quickly. Set your alarms trainers!
