Trainers, the previously announced make up research for the Special Background remote raid issue during day one of Pokémon GO Fest is now here! During day one of Pokémon GO Fest Special Backgrounds were not available on Pokémon caught from Remote Raid encounters.
When you log into Pokémon GO, the Timed Research will appear in your Timed Research menu section.
- Impacted Trainers have received Timed Research that awards encounters with Ultra Beasts and Necrozma with guaranteed Special Backgrounds at a future date.
- Each Trainer will have received research based on the amount of remote raids they did during the first day of Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global.
- The research granted will award a number of encounters equal to the Special Backgrounds they could have received during the event and will last until December 31, 2025.
The research is auto-completed, so you do not have to complete any tasks to claim the rewards, and you will be given unlimited Beast Balls in order to catch the rewards. You cannot use berries during the encounters. The Pokémon can be shiny at the typical tier 5 shiny rates, and all of the encounters will have the Special Background once caught. You will also get 2024 XP for each batch of encounters.
