Serebii.net confirmed that Unown will spawn during this years Game Developers Conference in San Francisco California. Letters G, D, and C have been spotted around the venue.
This is the second Unown event announced recently, right after the SXSW event announcement and it closely follows the recent R,T and X Unown letters appearing in Sydney from Feb 3 & 4, 2018 announcement.
Note: Niantic doesn’t have a dedicated talk on the GDC conference this year, but they are attending. We’re guessing that this release is a nifty tie in to promote Pokémon GO among developers and designers.

The Game Developers Conference or GDC is known as the largest annual conference and gathering of video game developers. The conference are known to host tutorials, lectures, and roundtables discussions with known industry professionals, and covers topics like design, audio, visual arts, production, programming, and business and management. They are also known to hold awards shows, like the Independent Games Festival and the Game Developers Choice Awards.
