Pokémon Sleep researchers, a surprise new Pokémon has been added to the game in a new update, Drifloon is here! A surprise arrival is always excited, and what a cool way to meet this new Pokémon, but to open up your game and meet them with no idea you could!
Drifloon Debut
Drifloon and Drifblim become available at October 11, 2024, at 4:00 a.m. local time.
Drifloon is available on Greengrass Isle from research rank Great 3, and it is also available at the Old Gold Power Plant from Basic 1. Drifblim is only available at the Old Gold Power Plant research area from research rank Ultra 2. Drifloon and Drifblim have 3 different sleep styles to discover each, with Drifloon’s Pacifying Sleep style being a particular stand out, cute, but with creepy references to their Pokédex entries.
Details
Drifloon and Driflim are available during Dozing sleep styles, and are a skill focused Pokémon, with a brand new main skill, Stockpile! They are a Ghost type Pokémon and collect Bluk Berries. For ingredients they can collect Greengrass Corn, Soft Potato and Pure Oil.
To evolve Drifloon into Drifblim requires your Drifloon to be level 21, and to use 40 Drifloon candy.

Stockpile (Charge Strength S)
- Either Stockpile or Spit Up triggers, selected randomly.
- The more times Stockpile triggers in a row, the greater the effect of the next Spit Up.
- When Spit Up triggers, Snorlax gains Strength according to the number of times Stockpile was triggered.
- After Spit Up triggers, Stockpile’s number resets.
Notes: Stockpile’s number is counted separately for each Pokémon. If a Pokémon with Stockpile is removed from your team, its Stockpile number resets
Drifloon Bundles
To commemorate Drifloon’s debut, Pokémon Befriending Bundle (Drifloon) Vol. 1 will be available beginning 14th October 2024 05:00!
You can encounter Drifloon by setting its incense in the areas where it appears (Greengrass Isle and the Old Gold Power Plant)!

Drifloon Incense gives off a scent that Drifloon love. If you set it before sleeping, Drifloon will appear for sure during your next sleep research.
You can set up your incense on the stump by your tent or via the pop-up that appears when you tap the Sleep button.
