Pokémon Sleep is a mobile app game that allows users to track their sleep, whilst researching different types of Pokémon for their Sleep Pokédex, and growing a Snorlax which is assigned to you each week.
There are currently six different known Islands available to unlock in Pokémon Sleep, each offering a different Snorlax to study, with different preferences in berries, and vary Pokémon to study.
Knowing which berries your Snorlax prefers is very important, as berries are the fastest way to grow your Snorlax, so it can be worth staying on an earlier island to work on a more suitable team for a new island, before you change islands.
Your Snorlax also has a slightly different colour with each island, and there is a very rare chance that it can be shiny! Sadly you can’t keep the shiny once your week ends, and it has no impact on your gameplay, but it is fun to see something so rare. The different colours for each Island are not considered to be shinies, just different variations of Snorlax that occur on those specific Islands. There is a chance that you may encounter a regular colour Snorlax on any of the Islands.

This article will be updated as more Islands are discovered!
Greengrass Isle

Greengrass Isle is where you begin your research, with a standard blue coloured Snorlax. It is a grassy area, and the Pokémon who visit you here are very varied in their typings. It is the largest island in the region, and has the most variety in Pokémon that may visit for your research. It is also the easiest Island to progress on, needing less Power for your Snorlax to level up.

Each week the Snorlax here will have a different preference for berries, meaning it can be a little tricky to plan your team accordingly. Your Snorlax here is the typical Snorlax colour we see in the main series.
Cyan Beach

Cyan Beach is the second island that you can unlock, by registering 20 different Pokémon sleep styles. Many Water type Pokémon live here, along with a variety of other types. It is the second easiest Island in terms of Drowsy Power, with your Snorlax taking slightly more to level up than Greengrass Isle, but less than the other Islands.

Your Snorlax on Cyan Beach is a lovely shade of green! This Snorlax has a set preference for berries, and wants Oran Berry, Pecha Berry and Pamtre Berry.
Oran berries are collected by Water types. Pecha Berries are collected by Fairy and Pamtre berries by types.
We would advise using teams consisting of Totodile, Croconaw, Feraligatr, Doduo, Dodrio and Swablu as your best options for berry collecting.
Taupe Hollow

Taupe Hollow is the third Island you can unlock, after registering 70 sleep styles. Many Rock and Ground type Pokémon can be found here. It is currently the second most difficult research area, with each level for your Snorlax taking more Power than the previous two islands.

This Snorlax is a muted almost grey colour, reflecting the darker, more underground location it dwells in. It also has a set preference for berries, desiring Leppa Berry, Figy Berry, and Sitrus Berry.
Leppa berries are collected by Fire types, Figy berries by Ground types, and Sitrus berries by Rock types.
We would advise using teams consisting of Cubone, Marowak, Cyndaquil, Quilava and Typhlosion as your best options for berry collecting.
Snowdrop Tundra

Snowdrop Tundra is the fourth island to be unlocked, after registering 150 sleep styles. Ice type Pokémon flourish here. Snowdrop Tundra is a very difficult island, with quite a jump up in difficulty from Taupe Hollow.

This Snorlax is a slightly different shade of blue to your typical Snorlax, with a lighter shade of blue. Your Snorlax on this island prefers Rawst Berry, Persim Berry, and Wiki Berry.
Rawst berries are collected by Ice types, Persmin berries by Normal types, and Wiki berries by Dark types.
We would advise using teams consisting of Rattata, Raticate, Houndour, Houndoom, Spheal, Sealeo, Walrein, Slakoth, Vigoroth and Slaking as your best options for berry collecting.
Lapis Lakeside
Lapis Lakeside was introduced on January 24th at 15:00 local time. It is the fifth research area you discover in-game. To unlock it, you will need to have found 240 Sleep Styles in your Sleep Dex.
This area will include Pokémon such as Dratini, Ralts and Stuffull. Your Snorlax here is a slightly lighter shade of teal blue.
Snorlax’s favourite Berries on Lapis Lakeside are Cheri Berry, Mago Berry, and Durin Berry. Cheri Berry are Fighting type berries, Mago Berry are Psychic type berries, and Durin Berry are Grass type berries.
We would advise using teams consisting of Mankey, Primeape, Riolu, Lucario, Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, Chikorita, Bayleef, Meganium, Leafeon, Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Victreebel, Espeon, Mime Jr., Mr Mime, Wynaut and Wobbuffet.
Old Gold Power Plant
The Old Gold Power Plant is a new research area introduced at 3:00 p.m. on October 2, 2024. It is now the hardest Research Area in Pokémon Sleep. You can unlock Old Gold Power Plant by complete the Sleep Dex goal of registering 340 sleep styles.
Snorlax’s favourite berries at the Old Gold Power Plant are Grepa Berry Electric, Bluk Berry Ghost and Belue Berry Steel. The Snorlax here can be a shade of green.
We would advise using teams of Raichu, Jolteon, Ampharos, Shuppet, Gengar, Skeledirge, Magnezone, Steelix and Dedenne.
