Get excited Pokémon TCG Pocket fans, a brand new expansion set has been announced, the intriguingly named Space-Time Smackdown!
An official trailer has been released teasing the new set! Dialga and Palkia are the stars of the new set and feature on the packs, as well as in their own Ex cards.
The new expansion will release on Wednesday, January 29th 2025, and is the A2 set. The Space-Time Smackdown expansion features over 140 cards including new Pokémon ex cards, new Trainer cards, and most excitingly, new immersive cards with beautiful animations!
It appears to be heavily focused on the Sinnoh region, with many Sinnoh Pokémon cards teased including:
These all feature along with a trainer cards for Cynthia and more!
The trailer also gives the release date for the new trading feature, Tuesday, January 28th 2025! Here’s what we know so far:
- Trading can be done between friends and only for cards of the same rarity. You can check our card rarity guide here to know all the particulars.
- Cards available in the Genetic Apex (A1) and Mythical Island (A1a) sets can be traded. However, trades would be expanded to other sets in the future.
- Only cards with a rarity from 1 Diamond to 4 Diamond and 1 Star can be traded. Cards of 2 Star, 3 Star, and Crown rarity cannot be traded.
- Items will be consumed for trading.
- The next set is also planned to be added later this month.
