Shiny Scraggy

Shiny Scraggy is really a difficult one to spot. It’s body turns an ever so slightly deeper shade of orange.

Regular Shiny
Scraggy Scraggy is a bipedal, lizard-like Pokémon. Its oval eyes are set to the sides of its head, and its teeth appear to be constantly exposed. There is a small red scale on its yellow head. Below the yellow portion of its head, its body is cream-colored with thin arms and a red, scaly belly. It carries its loose, yellow skin around its legs, resembling trousers, which garner them more respect the saggier they are. Some of the loose skin seems to trail off to form or cover a tail. Shiny Scraggu is has a slightly darker orange body.
Scrafty Scrafty is a bipedal, lizard-like Pokémon. It has oval, wide-set eyes with small pupils and gray eyelids, as well as small nostrils and a wide mouth with bared teeth, giving it the appearance of a permanent sneer. It sports a red crest on its head, similar in appearance to a mohawk. Baggy yellow skin hangs off its shoulders, falling halfway down its back. As shown in the animated series, it can wear this skin like a hood. Scrafty's body is orange, with thin arms and a gray, scaled belly. Its lower body and tail are covered by loose yellow skin resembling baggy trousers. On its tail is a single red scale. Shiny Scrafty has green 'hood' and 'trousers' and a yellow body.

Mega Pokémon that boost Scraggy

The following Pokémon will grant you extra bonuses when catching Scraggy if they are Mega/Primal evolved:

A Note on Mega Catch Bonus

While a Pokémon is Mega-Evolved, additional XP and Candy is granted when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it, or for any raid boss caught. These do not stack with each other. Additionally, High and Max Level Mega-Evolved Pokémon grant an increased chance to obtain Candy XL when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it.

Is it worth evolving Scraggy?

PVP

Preferred Moveset

Counter, Foul Play & Power-Up Punch / Thunder Punch

🧸 Little League

Scrafty performs okay in the open Little League meta, thanks to its ability to punch through opponents with a lower stat product. However, the formats for it to participate in are currently few and far between.

🔵 Great League

Scrafty is one of those interesting Pokémon that has dipped in and out of the open meta. It has a fairly decent stat product and, before the Counter nerf, had a very strong moveset (which is now just okay). However, it has always faced challenges—particularly as a Fighter that is weak to other Fighting-types and double weak to Fairy-types due to its Dark sub-typing. Presently, other Fighting-types perform its role more effectively, but it is worth keeping, as a meta shift or movepool update could make it relevant in PvP again.

🟡 Ultra League

Would you believe that Scrafty was once meta in Ultra League? It has been quite a fall from grace due to shifts in the open meta and the Counter nerf, which has reduced Scrafty’s effectiveness as a FighterScrafty still has excellent PvP stats, especially for a Fighter, and a fairly decent moveset. However, too many Pokémon in the current open meta counter Scrafty effectively, making it mostly a benchwarmer or a pick for limited cup formats.

🟣 Master League

Scrafty lacks the stats to compete in the Master League meta.

PVE

⚔️ Raids

Scrafty isn’t a particularly strong Fighting-type, barely scraping above the 2500 CP cap, and its stats are also better suited to PvP. There are stronger Fighting-type investments out there.

🛡️ Gyms

Scrafty will put up a bit of a fight for your gym, but its dual weakness to Fairy can render it rather toothless.
