Corphish and Crawdaunt

Barboach and Whiscash Baltoy and Claydol

Pokémon GO Corphish evolves into Pokémon GO Crawdaunt. These Pokémon are known as the “Ruffian Pokémon” and “Rogue Pokémon”. Pokémon GO Corphish is a pure water type, but it evolves into a water dark type as Pokémon GO Crawdaunt.

Most would remember Corphish as one of Ash’s Pokémon during his adventure in Hoenn. As for Crawdaunt, they were popularized by Team Aqua Grunt as their main Pokémon for battles.

Crawdaunt has a below average max CP of 2317. It does possess a good ATK (224) which would be useful in battles. It has a low DEF (156) and a low STA (126), which makes it a good attacker.

Crawdaunt in the Pokémon GO meta

This Pokémon is the better version of Sharpedo, minus some digits on the ATK stats. Essentially, Crawdaunt is another run-of-the-mill meta addition.

As far being used in battle goes, keep in mind that Crawdaunt has an advantage over ground, rock, fire, ghost and psychic type.

There are no known further evolution of Crawdaunt.

Best Crawdaunt Moves and movesets in Pokémon GO

Best moveset: Waterfall + Night Slash

Crawdaunt can have the following moves:

  • Waterfall Water (quick)
  • Snarl Dark (quick)
  • Vice Grip normal (3 bar, charge)
  • Bubble Beam water (3 bar, charge)
  • Night Slash dark (3 bar, charge)

There is only one thing to be aware: avoid Vice Grip. Vice Grip is a trash move that doesn’t benefit from STAB, deals significantly less damage and doesn’t have any matchups.

Waterfall is slightly better than Snarl.
