Five new Pokémon GO City Safari events have been announced for 2025, in a variety of locations across the globe!
All five events take place on the same weekend, the 27th to the 28th September 2025 and the locations are as follows:
- Pokémon GO City Safari: Bangkok, Thailand
- Pokémon GO City Safari: Valencia, Spain
- Pokémon GO City Safari: Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Pokémon GO City Safari: Cancun, Mexico
- Pokémon GO City Safari: Vancouver, Canada
These are some incredible locations, giving trainers from around the world the opportunity to take part in in-person events.
The events will occur from 10:00am to 6:00pm local time, and be available to play during the entire city the event occurs in.

While we don’t yet know which Pokémon will feature, we do have some clues from the artwork for each location:
Sigilyph appears to be the featured regional for all five events, with Mudbray as the 2025 City Safari exclusive spawn. Interestingly, all but Bangkok have Goomy as their other featured Pokémon, whereas Bangkok has Phanpy! Bangkok is known for their elephants, and has an incredible elephant sanctuary, so this may be why it is featured.
Mudbray and Mudsdale are currently exclusive to City Safari events, and their shiny forms look like the below:

Ticket Holder bonuses
Based on previous City Safari events, it would be likely that the Ticket Holder bonuses and rewards below will be available between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., anywhere in the featured city on their ticketed day:
An increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon!
Lure Modules (excluding Golden Lures) activated during the event will last four hours
Up to five special trades can be made per day, no matter where you are in the city
Trades will require 50% less Stardust
Your buddy may find an exclusive Tiny Compass souvenir.

We would also assume that the special Explorer Hat Pikachu will feature!
Meet a special Eevee
Ticket-holding Trainers can gear up to assist Professor Willow and Eevee in learning more about the Pokémon appearing during the event. And Eevee seems ready for a big adventure—Trainers will encounter Eevee wearing an explorer hat at the beginning of the City Safari Special Research!
- Explore the city with Eevee as your buddy, and there’s no telling what you may discover!
- You’ll be able to evolve Eevee to any of their known Eeveelutions with the Explorer Hat, so be sure to collect as many of them as you can! Each evolution requires 50 candies, and some have their own special requirements..
Eevee Explorers Expedition
Don’t know where to start your adventure? With an entire city to explore, the Eevee Explorers Timed Research experience can help you set off on an exciting tour of notable locations, landmarks, and even some local favorite spots!
Visit locations across the city to complete this event-exclusive Timed Research, which awards an additional encounter with Eevee wearing an explorer hat at each location you visit!*
(*) Ticket holders can receive up to eight encounters with Eevee wearing an explorer hat as a part of the Eevee Explorers Timed Research in addition to the Eevee wearing an explorer hat received as a part of the event Special Research. Trainers who purchase the second day add-on can complete the Timed Research a second time for an additional eight encounters with Eevee wearing an explorer hat.
In addition to the live events, you will also be able to enhance your event experience with optional add-ons. Ticket add-ons are active for both days of Pokémon GO City Safari —Saturday and Sunday. Trainers with the ticket add-ons will be able to take advantage of the bonuses even on the day that they aren’t taking part in ticketed gameplay.

Citywide Gameplay Extra Day Add-On
Enjoy two days of adventure in your chosen city! After selecting either a Saturday or Sunday ticket, Trainers can purchase an add-on for the other day to make the most of their time. Purchasing a Saturday or Sunday add-on gives Trainers an extra day to enjoy the following bonuses:
