Alola to Alola event takes place from Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time. The event celebrates the end of the Season of Alola, and all the new Alolan Pokémon we’ve met along the way.
Trainers can take up the Alola to Alola end-of-season Special Research quest line that features branching quest line covering each of the 4 Alola islands. For the first time in Pokémon GO, Cubone can be evolved into Alolan Marowak, with an exclusive charged move Shadow Bone.
Additionally, a special Collection Challenge, thematic Raids and boosted Wild Encounters with Alolan Pokémon are available.

Reminisce about your favorite island in the Alola region with this branching Special Research story that lets you pick between Melemele Island, Akala Island, Ula’Ula Island, and Poni Island, and enjoy different tasks and rewards based on your selection!
Trainers who obtain the end-of-Season Special Research story by completing the four individual Special Research paths will be able to purchase the ticket in the shop for additional rewards.

Alola to Alola – Melemele Island Path
Raichu (Alola)
Trainers who are most interested in Melemele Island and spending time with their friends should pick this research path! These tasks will focus on social challenges like sending Gifts and taking snapshots, and they’ll offer the following rewards:

- Four Lucky Eggs

- A Pom-Pom Style Oricorio Hat avatar item

Trainers who are most interested in Akala Island and adventuring should pick this research path! These tasks will focus on exploring challenges, such as walking a certain amount of kilometers or spinning PokéStops, and they’ll offer the following rewards:

- Two Incubators
- A Super incubator
- An encounter with Alolan Marowak
- A Pa’u Style Oricorio Hat avatar item**

Alola to Alola – Ula’ula Island Path
Trainers who are most interested in Ula’Ula Island and catching Pokémon should pick this research path! These tasks will focus on catching challenges, like catching a certain amount of Pokémon or performing certain types of Throws, and they’ll offer the following rewards:
- A Glacial Lure
- A Magnetic Lure
- Four Incense
- An encounter with Alolan Vulpix
- A Baile Style Oricorio Hat avatar item**

Alola to Alola – Poni Island Path
Trainers who are most interested in Poni Island and battling should pick this research path! These tasks will focus on battle challenges, like winning in Trainer Battles in the GO Battle League or defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders, and they’ll offer the following rewards:
- A Rocket Radar
- Three Star Pieces
- A Premium Battle Pass
- An encounter with Alolan Exeggutor
- A Sensu Style Oricorio Hat avatar item**

Collection Challenge
An Alolan-themed Collection Challenge is coming! Complete it to make progress toward your Elite Collector medal and earn 15,000 XP, 15 Ultra Balls, and an encounter with Rockruff.

Evolve Cubone into Alolan Marowak that knows Shadow Bone

In celebration of the Season of Alola, for the first time, you’ll be able to evolve Cubone during the event to get an Alolan Marowak that knows the Charged Attack Shadow Bone!
