Get ready for Pokémon GO’s Memories in Motion Season! Running from March 3, 2026, to June 2, 2026, this incredible season focuses on new Daily Discovery experiences, shiny evolved Pokémon in the wild, new shiny Shadow Pokémon, boosted shiny odds for hatching eggs and in raid encounters and more!
There are some major and very exciting changes to look forward to this season!

Starting with Memories in Motion, several updates to the scheduling and structure of Pokémon GO events will take effect:
- Pokémon GO event pacing will be adjusted to a more regular schedule.
- Pokémon GO weekend events will move to Saturdays, local time.
- Pokémon GO events will move away from paid tickets to event GO Passes.
- Later this Season, Trainers will have access to an in-game event calendar with the latest information.
The following bonuses are specific to Memories in Motion:
- Trainers level 31 and above will receive one guaranteed Candy XL when trading Pokémon in-person.
- One additional Candy when trading Pokémon in-person.
- Increased XP for a seven-day PokéStop spin streak.
- Increased XP for a seven-day Pokémon catch streak.
- Increased Stardust for a seven-day Pokémon catch streak.
Starting with the Memories in Motion season, different days of the week will include a Daily Discovery experience. These will be active between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. local time unless otherwise stated.
- Incense activated on Sunday will last up to twice as long.
- Lure Modules, Glacial Lure Modules, Mossy Lure Modules, Magnetic Lure Modules, and Rainy Lure Modules activated on Sunday will last up to twice as long.
- 2× GO Points from Pass Tasks for both monthly and event GO Passes.
- Max Battles will rotate to feature different Dynamax Pokémon.
- Power Spots will refresh more frequently.
- Additional Power Spots will be active on Mondays compared to the rest of the week.
(*) Max Battles will be available between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. local time. Power Spot
availability will be limited outside of Max Mondays and Max Battle Days.
- PokéStop Showcases will be active on Tuesdays, featuring up to 20 different categories.
- Raid Bosses for five-star raids and Mega Raids will rotate at the start of the day each week.
- Raid Hours will continue to feature the five-star Raid Boss between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. local time.
- The maximum number of sets you can play per day will increase from five to 10—for a total of 50 battles
- Up to 4× Stardust from win rewards. (This does not include end-of-set rewards.)
- Up to two Special Trades.
- Increased chance of Lucky Trade for any trade.
- Up to -10% Stardust cost for trades.
- Two guaranteed Candy XL from trades (Trainers level 31+).
(*) These bonuses only apply to in-person trades.
Please note that Daily Discoveries will not be available during the week of global GO Fest, GO Wild Area, or GO Tour events.

Starting with the season of Memories in Motion, any evolved Pokémon in the wild can be Shiny if it has already had its Shiny debut in Pokémon GO!
In addition, Trainers will have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon from Raid Battles and hatching them from Eggs compared to wild encounters.
Any Pokémon rescued from Team GO Rocket that has made its Shiny debut can also be Shiny—if you’re lucky! Trainers will have an increased chance of rescuing Shiny Pokémon from Team GO Rocket leaders and Giovanni compared to Grunts.

The Special Research story Pressure Rising will be available to all Trainers for free starting March 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time!
Following the completion of the Glitz and Glam Special Research, Trainers who complete the Pressure Rising Special Research will earn an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Volcanion.* Special Research does not expire, so you’ll be able to complete it at your own pace.
(*) If you already accessed the Pokémon GO Fest 2025–exclusive Special Research, completing this new Special Research will award you Volcanion Candy instead.

The GO Battle League returns as part of Memories in Motion, with major changes ahead! Get your Pokémon ready to battle in competitions such as the Kanto Cup, Fantasy Cup, Jungle Cup, and more.

A note on Seasonal Field Research tasks
During the Season of Memories in Motion, most Field Research tasks will be available during the entire Season, instead of changing every month. Field Research tasks that award an encounter with Spinda will still rotate monthly. Field Research available during in-game events will replace some of these Field Research tasks.
GO Pass
The GO Pass, a limited-time progression track, will be available during Memories in Motion.
Complete Pass Tasks to earn GO Points to increase your rank and earn rewards.
The GO Pass Deluxe, a paid version of GO Pass, will be available for Trainers looking for
upgraded rewards and faster progression.
PokéStop Showcases

Be on the lookout for PokéStop Showcases throughout Pokémon GO: Memories in Motion. Log in weekly to find out which Pokémon you can show off.
PokéStop Showcases will be active on Tuesdays, featuring up to 20 different categories.
Themed Stickers
You’ll be able to get themed stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.
