Trainers, we are celebrating the holiday season with the first part of the Pokémon GO Winter Holiday 2023 Event! Paldean cutie Cetoddle will be released, new costume Pikachu and Raichu, snow on the in-game map and more!

Cetoddle and Cetitan debut!

Cetoddle, the Terra Whale Pokémon, and their evolution Cetitan, will make their debut in Pokémon GO. They first appeared in the Paldean region, and are both pure Ice types. You will need 50 candy to evolve Cetoddle into Cetitan.

Pikachu and Raichu wearing Holiday costumes

New Costume Pokémon will also make their debut, with Pikachu and Raichu sporting new holiday attire.

Free Timed Research – Winter Wishes

Trainers will be able to access free branching Timed Research that grants their bonus-based wish: pick between 2× XP for catching Pokémon or 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon. The path you choose will determine which bonus and tasks you have for the whole event!

No matter which wish you pick, all Trainers who complete the research will receive items and encounter winter themed Pokémon. The Timed Research will last throughout both parts of the Winter Holiday event.

Tickets can be purchased any time throughout the Winter Holiday event period, and the tasks and rewards for all the Timed Research described above will be available until the expiration date listed below.
