Pokémon TCG Crossover Event takes place from June 16 to June 30, 2022, bringing Wimpod and Golisopod, globally available Lunatone and Solrock, special Ditto disguises, Shadow Ball Mewtwo in raids and more.
To commemorate the Pokémon TCG: Pokémon Go Expansion that introduces Pokémon Go-themed cards, get ready for the Crossover Event that features the debut of a new Pokémon, Pikachu with a new hat, Mewtwo with Shadow Ball or Psystrike, and a chance to encounter the elusive Shiny Meltan! Read on to find out more thrilling details about this event!
Trainers and Pokémon TCG enthusiasts, prepare for something special. This is a better crossover than the multiverse of madness.
Date & Time
The Pokémon TCG Crossover Event will start on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time till Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Bonuses
- Debut of Wimpod (and it’s 400 candy evolution, Golisopod)
- Pikachu in a Pokemon TCG hat (s)
- Shiny Meltan will be available from your Mystery Box, and the box’s cooldown reduced to 2 days.
- Collection challenges – a whole collection of them

Wimpod and Golisopod debut in Pokémon GO
The Alola region’s timid but “wait-till-I-evolve” little Wimpod makes an emergency entry (see what I did there?!) into the world of Pokémon Go. In addition, you can also catch a Pikachu wearing a Pokémon TCG hat.
- You can use 400 Wimpod candy to evolve Wimpod into Golisopod.
- If you are lucky, you can encounter a Shiny TCG Pikachu!

When you use the Mystery Box during the event, you’ll be able to encounter Shiny Meltan, if you’re lucky! Furthermore, the time you have to wait before you can open the Mystery Box again will be reduced during this event!

Ditto
Ditto can disguise itself as the following Pokémon, and will reveal itself once the Pokémon is caught. List of Pokémon that can be Ditto in Pokémon GO:
Lunatone and Solrock globally available
As a part of the celebration, Lunatone and Solrock will be available all around the world for the duration of the event. After the event ends, Lunatone will appear in the Western Hemisphere and Solrock will appear in the Eastern Hemisphere.

Collection Challenges
The event will feature Collection Challenges themed around Pokémon associated with the Pokémon TCG: Pokémon Go expansion!
Be prepared for six Collection Challenges of varying difficulty during the time period of this event. Just like the TCG cards, some challenges would be harder than the others.

Parting Thoughts
This is a first-of-a-kind collaboration that celebrates the monumental Pokémon TCG into Pokémon Go in its own way. A new Pokémon that needs grinding to evolve into a beast, excellent spawns and raid bosses, a chance at Shiny Meltan, and the ever-prized Mewtwo for two weeks with a chance to get both Shadow Ball and Psystrike separately.
