Sandshrew Community Day (March 2022)

March Community Day will see the former voting candidate Sandshrew get it’s chance, similarly to Machop last year! This time, it’s clear that Alolan Sandshrew will also appear in the wild rather than raids, and Kantoian Sandslash gets a different move than it had as a voting candidate; Night Slash!

This will give it the low cost charge move it desperately needed. Alolan Sandslash does still get Shadow Claw, which many PvP analysts said was a strong move for it in the past, and it’s already quite good now!

Sandshrew Community Day Exclusive Attack

Evolve Kantoian Sandshrew during the event or up to two hours afterward to get a Kantoian Sandslash that knows the Charged Attack Night Slash. Night Slash is a Dark type move.

Night Slash has the following damage and energy costs:

• Trainer Battles: 50 Damage, 35 Energy
• Gyms and raids: 50 Damage, 3 Bars

Evolve Alolan Sandshrew during the event or up to two hours afterward to get an Alolan Sandslash that knows the Fast Attack Shadow Claw. Shadow Claw is a Ghost type move.

Night Slash has the following damage, energy gain and speed:

• Trainer Battles: 6 Damage, 8 Energy, 2 Turns
• Gyms and raids: 9 Damage, 6 Energy, 700ms
