Pokémon GO Sustainability Week (2022)

Pokémon GO Sustainability Week 2022 is a special event that lasts from April 20 to April 25, and brings Oranguru, shiny Cherrubi, a new collection challenge, special 7 km eggs and more to Pokémon GO.

In addition to Oranguru and shiny Cherrubi, Trainers will be able to complete event-exclusive sustainable Timed Research and help plant trees across the globe: during the entire day of April 23, 2022, every Trainer who adventures 5 km during Stufful Community Day, Niantic will plant a tree (up to 100,000 trees).

Oranguru debuts in Pokémon GO

Oranguru

Oranguru, the Sage Pokémon, makes its Pokémon GO debut! Oranguru is a Normal and Psychic type Pokémon that first appeared in the Alola region. It has a max CP of 2770, with the following stats in Pokémon GO: 168 ATK, 192 DEF and 207 STA.

Oranguru is vulnerable to Bug and Dark type moves. Oranguru is boosted by Partly Cloudy and Windy weather.

Shiny Cherubi debuts in Pokémon GO

For the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter Shiny Cherubi—if you’re lucky!

Stufful Community Day Timed Research

Complete Timed Research during April Community Day and we’ll plant trees! From Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time there will be Timed Research available.

• Each phase will require you to adventure 1 km, and doing so will earn you an encounter with Cherubi.
• During the entire day of April 23, 2022, every Trainer who adventures 5 km during Community Day, Niantic will plant a tree (up to 100,000 trees). So get exploring!

Collection Challenge

A nature-inspired Collection Challenge is coming! Complete it to contribute to your Elite Collector medal and earn you 10,000 XP, 15 Great Balls, and an encounter with a Meganium. Two of the Pokémon you’ll need to catch—Gloom and Weepinbell—will only appear when you use a Mossy Lure Module.
