Coming this week in Pokémon GO, commencing 6th February we have new shiny Pokémon, new Mega Pokémon, the Valentine’s Day event, GO Battle Day: Vulpix and Luvdisc Limited Research Day!

Valentine’s Day 2023 Event

From Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 10:00am, to Tuesday February 14, 2023 at 8:00pm local time.
Evolve Kirlia into Gardevoir or Gallade for a Gardevoir or Gallade that knows special Charged Attack Synchronoise
2x stardust from opening gifts
Lure Modules activated during the event will last for two hours
The Frillish family and Tapu Lele will be released as shiny for the first time in Pokémon GO

Luvdisc Limited Research Day

All win rewards from the Premium track will be reward encounters.
Vulpix will be guaranteed to appear as a reward encounter.
If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!

Timed Research

Timed Research focused on battling will be available for the whole day!

Wednesday 8th February 6pm till 7pm local time Tapu Lele will be appearing in raids for raid hour. It will be available as shiny for the first time!

Mega Raids

Mega Gengar

Mega Gengar will appear in raids from Wednesday, February 1, 2023 10:00am, till Wednesday February 8, 2023 10:00am.

Mega Gardevoir

Mega Gardevoir will appear in raids from February 8, 2023 10:00am, till February 15, 2023 10:00am.

Five Star Raids

Registeel

Registeel will appear in raids from Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 10:00am till Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 10:00am. Registeel caught during this time will know the special charged attack Zap Cannon.

Tapu Lele

Tapu Lele will appear in raids from February 8, 2023 at 10:00am till Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 10:00am. It can be shiny for the first time!

February 2023 Research Breakthrough

Completing Field Research tasks leads to Research Breakthroughs, which now reward Trainers with different items in addition to encounters with a variety of Pokémon. Check out the Research Breakthrough rewards you can look forward to this Season!

From December 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7) to March 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m.

Complete Field Research tasks during the whole season to earn an encounter from a pool of Pokémon, including Galarian Mr. Mime, Delibird, Bagon, Furfrou, Deino and Goomy. For the first time, you are also to encounter shiny Galarian Mr. Mime if you are lucky!
